Is this really newsworthy? This has been the case for over a decade.

I had this same issue just a few weeks ago. I recall being asked for my 2FA on a few separate occasions and could never disable it or switch to a new authenticator app even though I had backup codes. However, I tried it a 3rd time one day and for whatever reason I was able to do it. If I recall correctly, it suddenly gave me the option to instead authenticate with my password again, which I did. Good luck!

I'd say there's a swing depending on priority. We care about code quality and having high test coverage, but sometimes the business needs something done yesterday and we sacrifice quality to get it out the door. I don't agree with this sacrifice, as I feel it hurts us in the long run by slowing down future work.

> The game limits multiplayer interaction big time. It's no more than 3 parties allowed in an instance at any one time

Just one quick correction. Destiny 1 limited instances to 3 parties, but Destiny 2 changed that up a bit. Patrol areas are now 5 parties (up to 15 players) and social spaces are 9 parties (up to 24 players).

It probably sounds silly, but I've been the victim of similar scams and so I started video taping myself opening every single package I receive. I be sure to show the tracking information on the box and then leave the camera rolling as I open it and inspect the contents.

In the OP's case, it doesn't seem like Amazon would even care to watch the recording seeing as how they are ignoring pictures that clearly show the item delivered to the wrong address with incorrect contents, but it gives me peace of mind at least.

I don't understand why Amazon keeps claiming it was sent to the person's address when it was clearly shipped elsewhere. He even has a picture that shows the tracking number and the fact that it was delivered somewhere else. This should be an open and shut case for Amazon, a very obvious scam.

I'm honestly curious...if diversity is such an important issue to so many people, why do large sports organizations such as the NFL, NBA, etc, still separate women into their own leagues and not allow them into the "men's league"? And probably in the range of billions of people support such organizations.

I personally feel are humans are equal regardless of race sex origin or any other factor. If you are a human, you have every right that any other human has and there is no place for discrimination of any kind.

I hope you can find a company where you are treated as an equal. I can honestly say I've never worked for a company like you describe, so it sounds more like an issue with the company and not the entire industry as you seem to suggest.

As a male, I wouldn't stand for this type of behavior from my colleagues. Personally, I'd be going up the corporate ladder or human resources until I found someone that make this type of behavior cease, and if it didn't, I would be gone. I can't even imagine being on the receiving end of something like that.

Martin is working on a book about Clean Architecture:

I'm sure the book will have many real world code examples, as is fairly typical of his previous works.

I very much agree. A few years ago I was searching for a new job and there was this one place specifically that had an opening that sounded like a perfect fit for my skill set. They had an extremely long application process that involved "Pre-Employment Testing" (something called Criteria?). Anyway, I spent hours working on this application only to never hear back.

Funny enough, after landing an even better gig, I randomly got contacted by one of their recruiters on LinkedIn asking if I would be interested in the opportunity they were still hiring for. No mention of the fact that I had already applied and never heard back.

I've been testing out 4 since it hit beta, and haven't had any issues. Code literally just works after updating to the new version with 0 issues, in my case at least.

I'd say when I was first learning about many of the design patterns, this was my biggest hurdle as well. The examples and analogies were unrelated to real-world scenarios and didn't do much to help me understand the concepts.

It wasn't until I came up with my own real-world examples that were specific to my domain and really applied the design patterns in practice that I really started to understand everything. I don't think it's really the real-world example that helped so much as the actual process it took to arrive at an implementation.
