AI promised less workERS, not less work!

The human workers remaining will be worked to the bone, now competing with, or at least shaded and stalked to some extent, by relentless obliging machines. Or be dispensed with.

How come the 'documents' are floating above the wood surface creating such deep drop shadows?

Because, although the arguments might make sense in an abstract, detached way, they're very often against 'gut feel', and for good reason.

Therefore they use a kickstarter or aliexpress style torrent of argument and features to try to cudgel you into agreement.

This is like saying you understand the basic principles of internal combustion engines.

Sure, that gets you some level of understanding, but in no way prepares you to be even a mechanic, far less an engineer, let alone a researcher/engine innovator.

That's just a guess.

Do you and your cat make better predictions than your friend without a cat?

Of course model predictions will be acted upon, which will invalidate the predictions.

Obviously it tricks a human, even if it can't hack the lab's rs423 or modbus or whatever network.

Snap is a little intimidating compared to Scratch.

It's clearly designed for older students, but at that point some of the advantages of blocks are lost.

Most of these systems suffer from the 'canvas' model, where you have many stacks of blocks scattered around the canvas as they are created, possibly in no particular or logical order. It's difficult to find things or to get a good overview, and really becomes a navigation problem as projects get bigger. I think they would greatly benefit from a more traditional ide/file type structure, or some other way to structure 'stacks'.

I bring you peace. It may be the peace of plenty, and content, or the peace of unburied death, the choice is yours.

Like a slavery index?

What if you spent 10 years building a business abroad?

I remember early in my career being send by my employer on 'contract' assignments to other companies for 3 or 6 months. When I left that company and went interviewing, everyone was extremely concerned that I had been an independent contractor, some even saying they never employed such people. As though, once you've broken the chains, you're no longer employable.
