I switched from Claude code to pi about two months ago and can’t imagine having to go back.

However, this is very much a “build what you need” type of harness. You have to be willing to use other people’s extensions or build/vibe your own before the harness is useful.

Why I find pi better:

- multi-provider/inference API support out of the box

- greater visibility into token flow/usage

- minimal system prompt

- no hand holding/decisions made for you on what your agents can/cannot do

- extremely customizable

- stable, minimal bugs in the base harness that I’ve experienced

- minimal feature bloat

It’s a great harness for someone who wants extreme control and adaptability. I don’t recommend it to my peers and colleagues who aren’t into tinkering.

If you could make this into an iPhone app, I’d use it daily.

Wonderful idea and execution. Thank you

Gave me a good chuckle. Cool idea though, and I like the records. Reminds me a bit of the OpenAI hacking incidents.

Is it public? Would love to try it!

Yes. It’s called Severely Deficient Autobiographical Memory (SDAM).

I suffer from it quite badly. I can remember broad and important details, but struggle to remember even moderate details from anything beyond the past 2-3 months, with sharp falloff after that.

Once I started using Immich and was able to see my old photos from across adulthood and childhood (I used to just dump them onto HDDs), I experienced a sharp reconnection with myself and my past.

Maybe they could find something similar (Apple Photos, Google Photos, Immich, etc.)!

Ive aligned to literally the exact same lineup. Amex blue cash preferred for our 6% groceries.

Please expand… how does this help you find ticks?

Thank you so much for sharing this. I’ve been saying to my wife for about a year now that I wish MacBooks had the motion cues feature… turns out I just needed to search for it!

My conspiracy theory is that Reddit intentionally makes the iOS Safari experience awful to drive people to download the app.

I’m sure it works.

But for me, it drove me to stop using Reddit on my phone.

I’d love to see a recording of this in action for a complicated question.

This article also reads with many LLM-isms, so I can’t tell if a human actually produced it.

I wish a human would’ve written the overview.

Nonetheless, this is disturbing.

This drives me nuts as well. I hate also hate when LLMs use plan-document references in comments/doc strings too. “Landed in stage 1…”

I have a lot of CLAUDE.md rules to restrict this stuff, but realize the “encapsulation” language is something I’m missing.

Dick Cheney passed away in 2025, just an FYI.

Agreed. I am working hard to restrict myself to only 1-2 agent workflows at a time. More is untenable, though it’s so easy to fall into the trap of deploying an agent “just for this minor fix.”

I mean, have you looked for examples of things that people using local models to build and ship? Or are you just assuming it doesn’t happen?

I’ve used Qwen 3.6 27B for many things at work, and I’m regularly able use it for reasonably scoped tasks.

I’m not saying these models are perfect.

But you are complaining about people on the extreme, while at the same shouting from the opposite extreme.
