Notion | Engineer, Designer, Data Science, Sales, Marketing, Support | SF, NYC, Dublin, Tokyo | https://www.notion.so | Full-time
== Intro ====================================
Hi Notion founder here. At Notion, our goal to create the general purpose work + computing tool for a post-file, post-MS Office world. My cofounder and I often joke that this was like the "hot startup topic" of the 90s. Unfortunately, tools for knowledge workers haven't advanced much since then. The state of art is either Google Docs/Quip/Dropbox Paper (multiplayer WordPerfect), or rigid SAAS apps (forms + a table+ some buttons).
This is our product: https://notion.so
We are hiring across every function: engineering, design, data, sales, marketing, support...
More details here: https://www.notion.so/jobs
We made a graphic novel about why we exist: https://notion.so/about

Hi, Ivan here. I am the CEO of Notion.
I'm really, really sorry about this experience!
Our in-product export feature exports to a single file, and for very large workspaces this doesn't scale very well. (I know this is not an excuse for this experience. We'll do better and prioritize fixing this!)
Could you email me at ivan at makenotion.com? We'll work to fix this for you immediately.
Apologies, and really appreciate you for understanding!
Ivan

Agreed. Mobile and text editing two of our weakest areas. A lot more work ahead of us but we'll get there!

Sorry about that. Heads down on the release at the moment and haven't checked this thread much. Will do better.

Notion's founder here. Thank you for the kind words - we are honored :-)
To be honest, nothing we are doing is that new. Most of the ideas came from the 70s-80s (Alan Kay, Doug Engelbart, Ted Nelson...) We are just applying a fresh coat of paint.
Of course, there's still a lot more to be done to fully realize these pioneers' dreams of computing as a medium for everyone – not just programmers like us. If you are interested to learn more or work with us, feel free to message me directly at ivan at makenotion.com, or link below. We are happy to host you for lunch: https://www.notion.so/notion/Join-Us-e7aeb157238a4603a2964b2...
Have a good one! Ivan
