Then I'm in programming for the wrong reasons.
The benefits are real and our willingness to pay is real, but the valuations only support one and right now even the free cheap models might win. Thusly the collapse could still happen.
2 reasons - there's an advantage now, use it. 2nd the frontier providers, this is the "early cheap days" like when uber was initially cheap to compete vs standard cabs. they want you to become hooked and boy are we hooked.
Trucking is a fundamental need so once competition thins out prices will naturally rise and eventually the cost of fuel will be pushed to the customer.
Honestly I'm not sure why we started this war. It really feels like our president taking notes on Russia and saying you know what....
I'm over my head with your statement, but my guess is - Yes that's the point. Either you do 2 way or you accept 1 way clock-sync collusions.
My argument is it's not "We don't know speed of light in 1 direction". Also, there's another common youtube video that says "we've never measured teh speed of light!".
Those statements are just for click bait, shock value. It's not rooted in the science.
I hate this one because it's true Einstein said we cannot measure the speed of light in one direction that is independent of the clocks' synchronization technique being used to measure.
And yet, somehow we changed that to "we don't know the speed of light in one direction!!!" Which is bogus - can you imagine if speed of light was different if you were pointing east vs west? In space, what is even a direction vs another?
Did you even read the wiki you linked? We've done one-way speeds, it's down below.
Upshot is if you spin it fast enough... acgoiawef.awef?
A business won't die just because an LLM is the only thing that can reason about a particular code base. At least, not like if a company's own engineers couldn't reason about their own code 2 years ago.
I recognize you don't agree with it - our world is changing.
Very few people know how to read assembly, instruction sets, binary or even transistor combos. All those layers have been "left behind" to become specializations.
In many ways coding is always about abstracting and LLMs can be a form of "higher level coding".
There's lots of problems with this argument, but it's what's happening and we'll be okay. We've always been.
Removed all news sites but also stopped looking at facebook, news on youtube, and the biggest one was reddit.
Reddit really affected me. It was so easy to read -> become angry -> engage.
I choose to be less informed to save my mental health, I know I'm way happier.
