I don't consider myself a programmer, I started programming in my late 30s after I got my first office job. I learned it to automate all the bullshit I needed to do.

Wish now I'd started earlier. It's like having a special power if your actual job isn't programming. I like getting the computer to do my job for me.

But I agree that the law is being weaponised by bad actors, but irrespective of that the police are duty bound to investigate. They take the blame too. It's one of the few jobs everyone else knows how to do better than the people doing it.

Argh yes, context. I was wondering why the police were doing what they were doing. Police don't randomly do that to someone, there had to be a reason. Context is king.

I'm not pretending anything, nor did I imply they were sneaking anything in. It's a bad faith argument to pretend I was doing that, which is ironic but not unexpected from an apple fan...

I don't think you can count apple out like that. They will likely implement it themselves though. This would be in addition to their always listening AI watch and intelligence features.

I was going to ask whether articles might go the way of pronouns in that people might latch onto them and start demanding you refer to them only using a particular article when they're not around, like some do with pronouns. Then email signatures could be:

they/them/an

Are these obvious signs of AI generation?

This situation is why I don't use authenticator apps, or passkeys linked to a device. Single point of failure, and obviously with any of the big tech companies, zero recourse.
