So your point is all good insults are based on bigotry and therefore you can’t come up with any better ones (yet at the same time expect me to)?: D

Also I’m really confused on why are you so hellbent on anthropomorphising Zuckerberg…

> brain not conceive of any better insults

Does yours? Would you care to enligten me with some better personalized insults? “feeble mind” and “piece of shit” arw higly unimaginative, surely you can do better than that.

Such as? I don’t think the other commenters meant areas requiring a 1-2 hours commute but actual suburbs

I think the lizard thing was mostly about mocking his lack of human emotions and apparent awkwardness (due to choice or personality). Calling someone a “humongous piece of shit” is a rather plain and boring insult unlike challenging his humanity and lizard like behaviour.

> He just doesn't view others as human being

Well (allegedly) being a robot lizard would explain that. Neither are known for a lot of empathy towards human beings.

The New Deal was mostly rolled back a while ago. After all corporatism did generally fall out of fashion for after WW2 (and of course there was quite a bit of opposition of state planning due to geopolitical reasons in the 50s and later)

He and the congress (and probably most of the country would have supported it) . There is an argument to be made that the Supreme Court was at least partially usurping the powers of the legislative and executive branches to impose its political policies.

Well actual dictators generally do those things because they need to subvert the constitutional to stay in power. Roosevelt didn’t need any of that in order to make sure he remained president for the remainder of his lifetime.

After all there was a constitutional amendment pass soon after to stop any president from doing what FDR did.

It would be interesting to see to what extent exactly this is accurate (of course to a certain extent it is) if the majority of the population in liberal democracies had the option of having more than 1-2 children without massively compromising their material wellbeing (or the future of their offspring due to the lack of resources).

The current consensus is that Livy only had a very vague understanding of the early republic let alone the royal period since his narrative frequently conflicts with archeological evidence and other sources. Basically he was constantly projecting the late republican system onto much older periods and implying it barely developed or changed over the years while there is strong evidence to the contrary.

> Patrician was a factor

We don’t really understand the patrician vs plebeian split and how it functioned before or during the founding of the republic. Again there is evidence it was only fully established decades later.

Sure, you can do it. I bet humans could fly to Mars if we invested a massive amount of resources into it. Why, though? That’s the “easy” if you throw sufficient amounts of money at problems over sufficient periods of time you can solve them.

If you don’t care about making any more from it. How exactly would datacenters in space would be more profitable than those on earth?

> In the monarchy, the Senate were all men who could no longer serve in the military, generally believed to be at least 60 or older, and generally numbered 100-200 men.

We really have no clue how it worked. If anything it probably was more related to being a head of a prominent clan/family.

France went through a demographic transition 100+ years earlier than all other European countries and then had a population boom in the 50s and 60s. I doubt an average French women was less educated in 1960 than in the mid 1800s.

I don’t think it’s that straightforward, material conditions in combination with massively lower mortality in all age groups and a shift in social values must be playing a significant part

It’s in Greek, though. Of course same points apply

PC components market has historically been highly competitive so I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t quite work out for vendors who tried doing that (aside from GPUs/Nvidia)
