git seems like it sounds good in theory or on the surface but not once you go to start to try and implement it.

It might be interesting to have a git mirror as a means of searching bills and changes but not as the source of truth.

I'm guessing that wasn't expected result.

Maybe in one aspect but it also raises the question, "Why is Congress concerned with details like this?"

Just trying to point out what could be the opposition for this, not that it's a bad thing to pass.

https://github.com/StrafeChat

There’s a GitHub but it was all the way at the bottom of the page behind a tiny icon in a group of other socials. At least on mobile it was.

> Most people who say this didn't go through the pain of why IE was such a PITA.

I did and "Chrome is the new internet explorer" is more accurate than what has been uttered since Chrome split from WebKit, "Safari is the new internet explorer".

IEs problem wasn't that it was behind in features, it was that it used IE-specific plugins and was heavily integrated with Windows Explorer. Safari is and has not been either of those.

Yeah, the only thing it doesn't do is shared inboxes with Microsoft Office accounts. I would really like to uninstall Microsoft Outlook.

I don't care for the Material Design, even when Google did/does it.

Other than Siri AI upgrades, I wonder how much different this is compared to the previous Apple TV 4K with usage primarily being connecting to Jellyfin.

Feels like they’re placating to those that keep bundling their entire application, php or node, into a single lambda.

Ideally, yes, but not everyone is able to setup a complete server solution at home and also make the app publicly available. Also, there may be some benefits to hosting it on a service like Cloudflare.

I self-host a few projects on forgejo in my local homelab but the build deployed to Cloudflare or Heroku. The CI is on my homelab too.

I still have primary control over those projects in Heroku and Cloudflare though.

Seems like a fun project but ultimately not worth it. Just setup a calendar alert to remind you to put the bins out and pull them back in, they're usually picked up on a schedule so it couldn't be too difficult to figure out when to go pull them back to the house.
