What’s a good Dropbox alternative? Especially for Macs. Feels like they spent twenty years just making the Mac client worse.

No need to go through an article full of patronizing national bigotry and Islamophobic claims when the answer is already in the title: Arab armies don’t win wars because they are Arabs.

Another point worth mentioning is that apart from Israel, Arab armies have mostly been fighting other Arab armies. So for every predictable Arab defeat, there has to be an equivalent surprise Arab victory.

And while we’re at it, also worth mentioning that about half of Israel’s Jewish population come from Arab countries. Some were even educated there!

The extremist right-wingers may not be in power in Israel for long. But the lies and propaganda are just as prevalent in the left here too.

Both of these are completely one sided. The .inc piece is barely even has the one side, it's almost entirely expert quotes.

How can two reports about this go up without any comment from Netflix? They are not even entertaining the idea of another side to the story.

The full quote is much better: “we are now, like, in the singularity”

I used to listen to a lot of twit shows back in the day. “Netcasts you love”. Are they still around/any good?

Unrelated, but Buzz Out Loud too.

This has never been my experience. When it can’t find my own content, it says “nothing to watch”…

Most comments here ignored the kids’ preference to play on the iPad. With that in mind, you may want to check out the Realms offering. I believe you get a 10 user server for ~$7. Note that is also highly fragmented, and there are different realms subscriptions for Java and Bedrock and also different tiers.

Depends on what your goals are with the family server, Realms may not be a good fit at all. But in terms of getting kids playing together simply and quickly, it’s the easiest way to go.

As a side note, I know kids who switched to Java after years of insisting only on Bedrock and sorely regretted not making the move much sooner. This is part of growing up these days.

> The only ostensible benefit is in the eyes of the AI-psychotic tinkerer, who knows no better, or in those of the clout-chasing developer farming likes on their LinkedIn posts.

Truly open minded

This is not really the same at all. You still have to swipe, the value add here is apparently “building an emotional bond”. Together with the explicit goal of “dates with girls”, this actually feels incredibly nefarious.

This implies a long road to catch up. But seems to be that all one needs to do to be on the cutting edge is to integrate a few scripts that support a cutting edge model. Which you then converse with in natural language. So how higher will the bar to entry be five years from now?

There are no landlords in NYC anymore, since they all fled when Mamdani was elected.
