Solve real-world problems offline using local models. Set yourself constraints: no internet, standard hardware, not a lot of RAM. Research how productive terminal applications have been in the history of computing or why grayscale or even 1-bit user interfaces worked.

That's what I'm doing.

I'm hoping for a future where we create static HTML pages again styled with a bit of handmade CSS, because we're so tired of bot attacks and long loading times. Then suddenly a Cloudflare network becomes absolet.

I like the idea and the logo. But some real world examples like database usage, partials within templates and handling forms are missing.

I really do miss it, because it felt like a huge productivity jump and a logical organized UI and file system.

When Windows Vista got released I switched over to Mac.

Totally agree and I think the root cause are today's larger screen sizes, less constraints. Win95 was designed at a time when 800x600 and 1024x768 have been the standards to work with.

I know exactly where the pain point is coming from ;-) Created https://htmldock.com for friends and family.

It lacks monetization, but I have a BMC tip jar LOL

Claude helped me to rewire my first digital Märklin model train. It pulled the documentation of the control keyboards 6040 and told me how to wire them properly to the routers.

And I restored an old vintage amp with the help of schematics, multimeter and Claude. That was really cool.
