I sometimes use the VLC app. You can upload files via a little website it hosts on your local network. It's useful for watching videos from my Android phone that can't utilize Airplay. Can't say I've ever really needed more storage though

Used PS5 prices are spiking with the GTA6 coming out and the chip shortage. They are $550 for the base and $1400 for pro right now, so still nearly double the apple tv (but of course, you can play GTA6)

That scales to 1-2 ideas. It does not scale to "we want to run EVERY company with AI". They'd either need to scale out to every single sector at the same time, or they will lose their competitive advantage as the competition makes their own AI (it's not a secret how it works, at this point it's more about investment).

Selling AI to everyone does scale though!

AI is coming for the transactional work long before it will come for litigation. In 50 years, nobody is going to have a human write their will, for instance.

I don't understand the logic. AI vs Human development still have similar cost profiles. It costs $ per unit of thought (salary or tokens).

If React Native worked well for human programmers, wouldn't it be just as good for AI?

The perception is that the left is in favor of censoring slurs and hate symbols. As a reaction, Trump/MAGA has brought back the R-word for instance.

Saying the Left are "pro-censorship" is not factually incorrect but definitely has a different connotation.

The story of the cubic equations is another great example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cubic_equation

Dudes straight up used to hoard solutions to equations and use them in math battles.

Google's business model is providing you services that are excellent, while also providing advertisers access to your willing eyeballs when you use those services.

Yes, the advertising targeting is incredibly invasive, but let's not pretend they aren't providing world class Search, Email, Docs, Maps, Video (YT), etc in exchange.

The courts are 100% going to have to interpret what is "sufficient human control" at some point.

I've seen junior engineers be productive on their first day in the industry because of AI, so I don't think the article is the whole truth.

The example math is boundary-pushing and definitely not a solved problem. But most of us work on CRUD backends with a React frontend. Those are more or less solved problems that have well-documented solutions. For those kinds of tasks, LLMs just reward usage.

I can count on one hand the number of times in my career I've needed to solve a problem that's not described on Stack Overflow.
