I find it surprising that people have to be told about getting a second opinion. In India, second, third, fourth opinions are common. I guess that is because the doctor consultations anywhere are mostly available same day if the doctor is present. Like the author says, here we absolutely have to take everything in our hands but I am really thankful for the resources shared.

In India where people buy the devices with lowest possible cost, i have never seen a smart washing machine so far and rarely a smart fridge. The cost of the smart module doesn’t offset the cost of spying yet i guess.

From Blackberry to a budding VFX industry and many other sustainable businesses to come out of Canada has always made it seem like a very EU-like philosophy. This will be great for fair trade.

yeah my vendor's dongle has this specific feature. A light also turns ON on the modem when SMS is received.

I often ditch my phone and carry my hotspot device for my internet. The only drawback is that for viewing my texts and OTPs i end up putting the sim in my phone or opening up the web interface on my laptop. This seems to work very well as a dumbphone per se.

I’m pretty sure that OpenAI has some of the best mathematicians prompting the models and analysing the results. While they are marketing as if the model solves problems themselves.

OpenAI has messed up big time here by competing with their customers. It would have become the norm for humans and mathematicians to use the tools and publish bigger results any way. If OpenAI didn’t run for credit, this theorem itself may have been proven by Buckmaster OR others in maybe a year or two. But now the bigger issue than AI solving problems is the issue of chat privacy, at the end of the day.

Not the hope, but telling them that an answer does exist. This ofcourse means now we are going to go into an even more darker cave next time we are looking for some gold and pathbreaking discoveries will become even more rare. Add to that, the fear of people not winning against ai and having fewer rewards, then fewer people even enter those fields or attempt problems over the next generation. AI erodes skills not at individual but at civilisational level.
