Deserved.

Could never reply posts to help other unless I had done:

* 1 trip to mars

* 10 trips to the Moon

* Converted water to wine

The worst system until you can finally help others.

Also, the CICD guy from my previous job, could not answer a single question if he was unable to search there, full stop. It will be fun watching those who doesn't really know anything dragging the whole team down.

A developer girl knew more than him, and fixed problems he was unable to fix.

>Too many employees doing not enough or quality work.

I've worked at Australia largest bank and airline companies, it's insane the amount of people who are either:

* Being paid to do nothing. Manager at the bank would spend whole day going from meeting to coffee then ask you if things are done already to be delivered as "his/her team"

* Are in position without qualification. They couldn't understand the basics of common sense.

The thing is, if you know somebody who knows somebody, that is it.

Now working at one of the telcos here, bro, it's pure circus.

>Equilibrium is one of the more ridiculous representations of a hyper controlling state

We no longer own anything.

* From games to software is subscription based, we no longer owner anything.

* Cars are connected to the network, folks are getting their insurance increased coz the car reported erratic driving behaviour.

* Cars are bricking coz now they update like tablets, things are going sideways and require the dealer to flash them.

* You can no longer do maintenance, things are locked on purpose and only manufactures can "repair" for a few hundred dolalrs

* Personal computer as we knew it is gone, nVidia and AI made computer parts virtually impossible to buy.

If that isn't hyper controlling state, well, I am Santa Claus then.

That is just the start.

Close...

We are living:

* 2006 Idiocracy (Comedy): High IQ people no longer exists, humanity has become irrational animals.

* 2002 Equilibrium (Action): Humans must not show any signs of emotion, your kids can report you. Arts, music, anything from this world is considered crime and sent to death sentence by burned alive.

* 2004 iRobot (Action): Robots are among humans to serve us, the new models violate its laws and try to take over the world

* 1968 A Space Odyssey: The AI turns on the crew killing one by one.

Watch these movies in that sequence, be prepared to either get yours things and move to the closest cave or join SpaceX program to go to Mars.

They pretty much reflect what is happening around the world, wars, clueless people with power, AI can no longer be contained, intelligent people are not speaking out to avoid offending dumb ones, robots are very advanced, autonomous drone and what not are very advanced to name a few things going on right now.

It is insane, those are no longer movies.

I can't think of a single true Linux user who will try that.

You are basically installing a spyware within the most secure OS by design.

If you as an user got a Linux operating system compromised, you shouldn't be touching computer.

Not to take your credit away but there is something called automation, scripting, etc.

All those actions within my homelab are automated via Ansible and bash scripts (I only run Linux), I am only notified if something goes wrong like a backup failed.

I get it if you never worked in IT, that is fine, but you need zero AI to get the above fully automated.

Does Claude keep versioning of the changes?? I host my own repos via Forgejo, Ansible and the automation process consume the config files from there, one source of truth. If my whole setup burns with fire, I can bring everything back online from the offsite Ansible playbook located at Codeberg.

Disagree.

I run Proxmox LXC containers at home managed via Ansible. I used Claude to assist me getting 4 services I was not familiar with working, draft the configuration, the firewall rule so all the traffic goes via a VPN and not my home network.

2 days and got everything working.

It took away what would have taken me a week reading posts after posts. Know that it is a tool to assist you and you will learn a lot from it. Posts/forums are kind gone right now.

I know Proxmox, I know Ansible, AI takes the boring part away and you have to think twice as much, not less. It gave me suggestions I didn't know was possible, therefore, you improve your skills.

Don't be copy/paste.

I was 100% interested until crossing "...with AI".

GOS no longer depends on Google Pixel, and honestly, they should focus on Motorola as the main focus and ditch Google future releases.

We should receive the first Motorola phones compatible with GOS somewhere in 2027.

Like others mentioned, the intention is great but too much AI.

The icons do not even look remotely close to the dial-up computers.

When it disconnects, the reconnection sound is not that at all. Pages load too fast.

The obvious: Only people with real intentions will attempt such process.

That automatically filters out, people with low IQ, and seeking to take advantage of the system.

Because a country has a population crisis, it should never mean open the gate for anyone. I mean, look at Europa atm, look at how beautiful is Europa as we speak after opening the gate from everybody.

Your question shouldn't even be asked, it is common sense.

Or it's the best option they have at that moment.

At my old job, my temporary manager was the Jenkins CICD guy who knew nothing that wasn't posted at StackOverflow.

To give OP credit, the manager that was hired, knew nothing about nothing. He would take his dog for a walk during a system crash :)

The new CTO was also incompetent, he spent more time with the business team than knowing how to write a simple script.

One incompetent hired another incompetent.

The company's warehouse firewall was exposed to the internet, their response?? pfSense is safe enough :)

Human error.

AI generated code, must be scanned for code quality, SAST, SCA, etc, just like a developer's code would.

It looks like they accepted AI code without verifying. Deserved!

Just like IT during COVID, everybody wanted to work in IT, companies were hiring by the hundreds. Look what is happening now, companies firing by the thousands.

AI bubble is already here, watch people becoming electrician/carpenters only for the AI to go sideways, then more hundreds of such workers unemployed.

Don't follow trend, look at what happened with IT and folks leaving university now can not even land job interview. Do what you love, not what it is trending.
