How often do you replace your battery that a once-every-3-years trip to Apple Store and paying for service AND parts $59-$139 is such an inconvenience?

I really want a fridge with easily replaceable condenser, washing machine with easily replaceable bearing, and a Subaru with great access to spark plugs... You still live in era of 2003 phones where battery was accessible via a flap, but at the same time you want a top tier computer in your pocket and waterproofing. You people are ridiculous sometimes.

Sure. Any other body hired in their place would still pay taxes PLUS more likely spend more money locally thus boosting local economy.

Absolutely anecdotal, but in the Silicon Valley I know, I rarely see coworkers participating in skiing/surfing/hiking/US travel. Hell, even dining out outside of free-food campus is a tough sell.

As for buying multiple houses, I'm sure the wider population is happy with foreigners buying rental properties.

FWIW the "international" folks I work with hardly spend any money in the US. Most of it is saved and spent or invested during 2-month annual visits to homeland.

When I updated, I had to actively sign up for new Siri and even make space for it. Until update, my phone had the "old" Siri. Not sure what the issue is

When in the world was that? Harvard doesnt take transfers (any more?). If you've been to college 20/30 years ago, well, the scene has changed a bit.

If you come from a low income household and get accepted to an Ivy+, odds are you'll get a full ride (my own case), so calling OP's post "completely unfounded" is completely unfounded.
