Every time its use insults (in aggregate) invaluable human contributors. It doesn't even matter if they're philosophically "correct" or not: it's about respect.

Then what you've said isn't true: it parrots an existing talking point, adding nothing.

I don't do this anymore. The information is easy to find, and bothering to find it is part of learning. I don't mind if you stay dumb; just don't spread it around.

Edit: because what is compelling isn't an article here and a study there. It's a slowly-growing consensus among researchers. It would take over an hour for me to compile enough evidence to convince someone "this is real". If you care, you have to do it yourself. My time is too valuable to do that for someone who is probably unserious. Hell, a two-sentence prompt to a good AI would get you started.

You should catch up with modern cognition research rather than this 20th-Century, anthropocentric nonsense.

This site serves me garbage. Iocaine, I think? I use Brave.

"If you are not [a bot], and you feel you have been served garbage by mistake, please contact the owner of the site you're visiting."

If anyone knows another way to access the content, I'd be interested. No contact details are offered and visiting mastodon.catgirl.cloud resets my connection.

MediaWiki is the last thing that prevents me never dealing (directly) with it again. And it's hard to imagine a drop-in, migrateable replacement for larger wikis. T_T

I'm sticking with the RHEL ecosystem for now, but it's now more out of inertia than a feeling that I gain much by it being the corporate standard. It's gone from "by choice" to "by habit".

RHEL also got the PHP patches hours after Debian.

I chose AlmaLinux last time I needed to, and it's been a great way to access the ecosystem — I heartily recommend it as a free RHEL! — but these past few days have me looking in envy at Debian. Corporate stability hasn't been what I expected.

They wanted "full stack", so they found hires with 1/10th of an education in each of 10 different fields.

Yet, our ecosystem likely never will. I wonder which is more important to not let fail.

"Ain't gonna buy no more no more, ain't gonna buy no more. How in the heck can I spike my debt if I ain't gonna buy no more?"

Capital won't like what comes next.

> I have some respect ... I cannot explain.

Naturally, they do it to earn "some respect" from those who otherwise see them clearly.

I was also baffled by this mistake.

It demonstrates carelessness precisely where that is the reddest of flags: in an announcement that the careless party wishes to adopt a big, new responsibility.

Highly useful, actually!
