They might have picked this company up because its news,

"Yahoo" buys "17 wiz kid" "mobile app and company", is good advertising around the world, yahoo is now a company who buys the "latest" technology, they hired a wiz kid - they have him on board he will do crazy technology experiments - "you have no idea what he could come up with next!", and they have his technology that a company as big as yahoo would play $30m for.

It tells potential users and more importantly investors and current shareholders it is now company who buys stuff because its investing and changing for the better and maybe people should change their views about yahoo etc etc.

note: I have not used the app, still don't care about yahoo.

I just want something simple. DuckDuckGo just offers me more stuff/info I don't need. I don't need 4000 results I want the best correct result.

The link above are screenshots from a test page of a search engine project I gave up on last year due to burn out and that I just couldn't afford to get it to the online stage. Today I feel (as biased as I am) - it still does the job better than anything out there for me.

Because its simple.

mkrecny, how would you rate this method of getting feedback?

"What would you do?"

First I would get on his case, tell him the website needs to be updated because the service will not grow into a real business in its current 1990s design. Show him websites that I feel are a good standard and what I expect our site to be like. If he can't do that then it is the wrong partnership for me.

I would stop working on the project(in relation to his ideas/feedback/requests), tell him I need the website updated a few decades or I'm on my way.

and then plan do the whole thing on my own while keeping an eye out for another co-founder with some technical ability aswell as business interests.

-----------

You should take the positives out of this project in its current state. You have the technical side down and you know you can get customers to pay for the service.

side projects don't die, they just get put back on the shelf for another stab at it later on

Allow the existing founders to discuss and decide what the new potential co-founder is worth and what they are willing to pay (in percentage/equity) to get him/her onboard.

The Infographic makes it easy to follow and understand for a simple mind like myself.

I agree with your point about twitter following, However I suspect its just something the user is very use to, being treated as unimportant by companies thus not worth following.

We know, however as there is no other simple option - you just have to use it and pray/hope it does not happen to you.
