The code was never the hard part. Understanding the market, developing product market fit, and evolving is the hard part.

Large companies aren't going to chase every opportunity.

Is this.. The right approach? Who decides what gets to be reverse engineered and what doesn't? I don't have a solution to offer, but I bristle at the idea of one indistry deciding which other industries suffer the negative externalities of their product, while others they decide are spared.

Sorry, I just can't see how this isn't a desperate money grab before a collapse.

I'm not sure what the overall principle is here, can't quite put my finger on it, but if your PS5 just inherently is able to play steam games like this and it is just an artificial limitation companies place on the hardware that prevents of from doing so... it just seems _wrong_ that you should be prevented. That this requires jailbreaking is the injustice

My biggest doubt isn't whether AI will find applications for speeding up people outside of tech, but that it will atrophy learning and cognitive development to the extent that in 20 years human ability without AI will be on average much lower than it is today. Overall with AI augmentation we may be more effective, but strip away that tool and the human left behind will be less

Honestly, given the surveillance capitalism of it all, I take this as a win. The termostst should have been dumb the whole time, not an avenue for harvesting our data.

More dumb electronics please.

I have sensed a trend in the industry of companies in the tech industry reporting immense scarcity of the products they want to sell you. Seems like age old used car salesman tactics, but I'm cynical.
