I was thinking some kind of current monitoring on the line. Surely there's some difference in draw when transitioning versus fully transitioned.

I don't get hardware wallets that have you enter the key on another device. Or don't show the transaction on the hardware device's screen, with every destination and amount, with a button to confirm on the device. Or trusting a wallet to generate a random seed. Or not using the most entropy possible (e.g. 24-word seed). Anything less is dropping the ball.

These techniques seem useful in his original personal organizer project, where the display is static most of the time, it just now updates responsively, Having quick animations more than a couple of frames per second makes a big difference in feel.

Same I assumed parent meant "flight level", like a plane flying over terrain at different altitudes, the closer the more detail you see.

It would be interesting if the driver could sense whether the pixel had fully transitioned or not, allowing it to measure transition time and accurately generate greys.

Right, packfile size is really what matters in the long-term. A tiny change to a file in the short term just adds the whole thing again (compressed), whereas a tiny change in a packfile shouldn't add much at all. Unless you've got very limited disk space, the long-term is the only size that matters.

Maybe more efficient code will make a comeback.

Hmmm, another approach might be to constantly emit signals, so the interesting ones are lost in the noise. This is similar to another commenter about making the algorithms produce the same amount of noise regardless of input as in cryptography (time-constant, energy-constant, etc.)

Yeah, a small container of powdered fruit to drink wouldn't have the same benefits.

So the mitigation is to have larger memory buffers so processing/emissions can be delayed (assuming simple shielding isn't enough).

Is it just me or do others also find the page constantly shifting things around endlessly, when using with NoScript (site's script enabled) and uBlock Origin?

If I had a machine like this on my network, I'd be tempted to figure out where it's sending the telemetry data, and help it out by sending a LOT more. It would be funny if they blocked my IP because I was reporting too much data.

I recently figured out how to do a vlan and set it so IoT devices can't see each other, just access the Internet (AP isolation). It hasn't broken anything so far (Matter devices excluded).

Recreational beliefs are fun if you don't subject them to too much scrutiny.
