You'd take a 40% pay cut, or more, going 20 miles east of the Bay Area.

Sugar and alcohol are very clearly negatives for a lot of people, I vote them next.

If your 14yo spends 90% of their waking life on any device it should be pretty obvious for a parent. If you let your kid spend that much time on a phone, then any government ban in place isn't going to do what you think it will.

When my kids got to an age they started asking for YouTube videos, I found it entirely frustrating that Youtube Kids was just not feasible to setup like you describe. It was a choice between 3 things, everything, the "kids" section whatever that meant for YouTube, and just tell them sorry, not happening. Within the kids section there seemed to be some controls to help, but I found they did not work well at all and I could easily watch anything in the expanded kids section. I'd have been happy with a whitelist for channels.

The poster seems to be asking to limit access to the platform, not change the platform to be non-addictive. I understand what you are saying is what the law is trying to accomplish, but I think they are clearly expressing the desire to limit all kids access to social media apps.

This is about California. A place where an overwhelming majority of tires are all season, which are exempt from this.

I'm not sure about your imagination. If people had worse tires then it would be even more difficult to go straight from the far left lane to the offramp 20 above the flow of traffic. /s

Just wait until 1 of those 3 employees left has surgery and needs FMLA, or out on maternity leave. Then it'll be even more capable. /s

That is a very tiny percentage of overall crashes, it is not a normal failure.

The Catholic Church is made up of people and people do all kinds of things and make all kinds of choices in life. As others have pointed out, it's very possible to talk about the struggles of your community without calling out Bob in the third row.

I agree, all kinds of grocery stores have failed over the years. Kroger's just isn't a good example of a failing store for a lot of reasons. They aren't a stellar investment, but they are also up from 1 year ago and 5 years, so investor's don't look like they agree with your summary of the business.

They didn't lose money because of their grocery operations. Those margins have increased slightly.

Even off-brand ones now are lasting longer than the ones 10 years ago. It used to be a problem, now I rarely change any bulbs.
