My favorite fun fact about this is that a Stack Exchange community moderator was removed for referring to others as “they/them”

When a CEO calls people "losers" for caring about security, and when the CEO considers it a failure that they don't have hockey stick growth, to me that's absolutely a reason to consider changing for most people using Proton. If someone doesn't care about employees raising security concerns, or a company chasing profits at all cost, then why are they using Proton in the first place?

This to me doesn't solve the actual problem. I don't care if engineers at Proton use AI, and I don't care if management makes it a requirement to work there. What I care about is using it as a way to instill fear. Combined with the CEO constantly blowing up on Slack insulting employees, it cultivates a culture of "yes-men" which is not good for a security and privacy minded product.

For comparison, Kagi charges $12 per 1000 searches (only talking about their API pricing, like what you’d use with an LLM; their $10/mo plan has unlimited searches but it’s a TOS violation to use those credentials with an LLM).

I feel the same way. I like Orion, and I use it on some of my devices. But if I could choose I’d rather the company focus on Kagi development. There are a good number of bugs and feature requests that have been “planned” for months/years that I would be very happy to finally get fixed.

TFA says the mobile app works (so presumably the backend accepts long passwords fine). Looks like it's just a frontend issue. I wonder if deleting the maxlength attribute before submitting the form works fine?

Mac Minis used to have soldered on SSDs, but the 2024 model is upgradable. A lot of people purchased a cheaper Mac Mini and upgraded the storage themselves. Most people would argue this is a good thing, even if some of those Mac Minis were resold. This is no different.

My ticket still hasn’t received any response in 17 days. At what point should I just contact my bank for a chargeback? If this is how billing issues are handled how can anyone feel comfortable sending any money to OpenRouter?

My ticket number is #107156 (opened 9 days ago). The point is that the Discord is full of people not getting responses, and I'm not even the one waiting the longest. The only help they get is from the AI assistant in the server saying don't bump the ticket or you'll be punished by getting moved to the back of the queue. So there's nothing anybody can do but wait who knows how long.

How much did IA spend on legal fees, employee time, etc in their defense of the COVID emergency library that most people thought was a lost cause? I need to know where my donation dollars are going.
