So the police seem to just let this happen without caring about its impact on the citizens that pay their salaries? Got it.

TikTok is no better or worse than Facebook or Google. US is just mad it can't boss Tik Tok around like they can any other tech giant. Because TikTok has ties to the Chinese government, there's a national security concern about what information they collect and share with China. The whole "save the children" angle is pure optics. These politicians couldn't give a rat's about it but they know the public is so fed up with "toxic" social media they're using the excuse that it's psychologically damaging to children to go after it. The government never seems to place any burden on parenting. But when they're being left out of the spynet is only when they care.

Thankfully none of the (many) speeding tickets I got in my youth are showing up.

They should omit or classify covid records as a new category. I think everyone can agree it’s unfair to those that worked so hard in normal circumstances

Why all the obsession over the pi now all of a sudden? The pi4/400 has been out for a couple of years at this point. Yet they’re still out of stock?

The only thing I haven't liked about Pop!_OS in my two years of daily driving has been the name. I think they need to rebrand as 76OS or something a little more professional. But that's so subjective.

Oh and I hope they make a laptop with a trackpoint eventually! I know that's the one thing preventing me from making the switch to their HW.

I keep seeing this advice for windows users switching to Linux - that they "need" a DE that is incredibly similar to Windows in order to feel comfortable. However, I think that's really the wrong approach. You'll just end up making them go into that headspace where they expect/want linux to work exactly like windows. If they really wanted something that's just like windows, why would they even leave windows to begin with?

Interesting if this gets to the SCOTUS. Is it "reasonable" for your neighbor to film your backyard with a drone?
