Briefly, we've found Playwright to be easier to implement (exception: Vue and component testing which is functional, but experimental and not well documented), easier to target, faster, and less flaky.

FWIW, GitHub Copilot is great at helping refactor tests.

My modem also disconnected with signal problems, which was interesting. I'm not sure Cloudflare could have caused that?

Some are already open, but with strict limitations. It won't be the same as re-opening as it was before; there are restrictions on capacity (12 max per teacher), sanitizing procedures, PPE for staff, guidelines around child health and reasons for exclusion, drop-off/pick-up procedures, and so forth. It's also not a carte-blanche reopening for all; the focus is still on essential workers.

I have direct connections who will be incredibly negatively impacted by the financial repercussions of all the lost business opportunities if NAB weren't to happen. Broadcast Media is contracting at best, and this won't help.

I'm not saying it won't be the right call, but it will have rippling effects beyond mere inconvenience.

Can you link to the press release in question? Thanks!

While the sensationalist headline is technically accurate, both the headline and the linked article bury the intent and context of the declaration. In short, don't panic.

> There have been no confirmed coronavirus cases in San Francisco to date, but as infections continue to rise across the world, “we need to allocate more resources to make sure we are prepared,” Breed said at a press conference announcing the emergency declaration.

> “To be clear, this declaration of emergency is all about preparedness. By declaring a state of emergency we are prioritizing the safety of our communities by being prepared.”

This makes my skin crawl. I understand the intent, but this is morally wrong on many different levels.

I hate credential stuffing and malicious activity as much as the next person, but I would never sacrifice user privacy like that.

Also, you can spoof a webcam (but that's not the real problem).

PocketCasts has a feature where you can trim silence and adjust playback speed without affecting pitch. I found that plus 1.2x speed strikes a balance between efficiency without feeling like a firehouse.

I had been listening to podcasts at 1.5x speed for a while, but that gets overwhelming and difficult to multitask.

I really like it for functional testing and for describing steps in peer reviews; it's concise and readable.

It's not the only tool out there; sometimes cURL makes more sense depending on the context. Use the right tool for the right job!

I use an NVIDIA Shield TV and a Pi-Hole, which gives me the advantage / flexibility of the Android ecosystem and the ability to stop some tracking. All subscription streaming providers phone home while you're watching.
