But the search revenue is growing at a high speed.

The article wording is just unfortunate.

The non-misleading title would be: "Google Cloud growing way faster than other sources of Alphabet revenue".

It feels like overmonitized free to play Slack.

On the same note, I wonder why AI almost never gives me links to Wikipedia. Do they have it in training data without any attribution?

It feels like the distribution of sources/links it outputs is 33% Reddit, 33% Random blog, 33% Not Found.

Even in the developed world, you don't need to register solar instalation as long as you don't plan to plug it into the general network, right?

If you have your own circuit with solar and battery and devices disconnected from the rest of the grid, then there is nothing to register, right?

I would guess only on the nitpicked benchmarks?

The pelicans place it nicely between Sol and Luna in terms of both pricing and results.

Flip it around. The number (generation) is the most important. Just like it's often with hardware.

And some variants (e.g., the medium one) being skipped or delayed for a certain generation doesn't really change the overall size branding.

OPs point wasn't that people don't want a bigger screen.

The point was that there are so many tradeoffs it makes it a hard sell.

It's basically worse in every category *except* for the screen. Durability, price, battery, etc.

>Reviewing PRs on the larger screen is way more comfortable than a normal phone size.

I believe you on that.

Yet I cannot think of a worse device to do code reviews on than a phone.

>A lot of AI content is better than human slop.

Whether it's better is personal preference. And many find it so bad/soulless it makes anything around it impossible to enjoy.

Feels like going from artisanal sourdough bread to factory-made wonderbread. Sure it's "cleaner" looking... but that doesn't make it immediately better.

Shady politicians are some of the quickest individuals to jump to lawsuit threats.

So the leakers may have already been under some pressure to not end up in jail for doing the right thing.

In that sense, isn't it "anti-discovery"?

The goal is to replace your "best hamburgers in X-city" search by just defaulting to McDonalds.

>It's the whole reason that tofu isn't more popular

I wouldn't be so sure to claim that it is more popular. Tofu is big in asian countries.

Pork is more popular not because it's somehow superior. It's popular in the west because that was historically available so that's what people there know how to "grow" and cook.

Anything could help.

I know people that do like 4 transatlantic trips per year and eat meat for every single dish.

Convincing them to reduce their impact would have waaaay more effect than lecturing someone that already travels by bike/train and eats vegetarian diet.

Because TSGO is stable and compatible?

I assume that most of the speedup in ts-rs does not simply stem from using a language without garbage collection, but actually from doing smart optimizations that can be done in any langauge.

Similar to how uv in the Python world explained that their implementation being in Rust has very little to do with the most impactful speedups they did.

My new criteria is that Sam and Dario finally stop talking about it.
