The problem with google'ing 2 years ago was a combination of SEO hijacking and sheer ignorance on the user's end.
Critical thinking is a necessary ingredient regardless of the tools being used
Between the pinned emails, helpful rendering of calendar events like trips/hotel bookings, and sane defaults for swipe actions, it worked really well out of the box.
Strangely enough I’ve settled for MS Outlook on iOS. It has a facsimile of Inbox's features and works well enough with gmail and outlook.
Just not as good of ux and the pinned emails don’t work on mobile (desktop only).
Would love for a new Thunderbird iOS app to get away from MS but have never been enthusiastic about the desktop client
Used to work at the Apple store and it was incredible how a handful of customers dropped thousands of files onto the desktop which in turn brought Finder to its knees.
Probably generating thumbnails or indexing is my unscientific guess
It's also rust based and very polished with a cli tool for automation. Can't speak to feature parity as I'm not an accountant or someone who traffics in spreadsheets but it suits my needs to the point I don't reach for a company subscription.
That's the bar for an AI generated app that I'd like to see your Adobe CC/CS apps hit.
I'll keep an eye on your repos!
Been seeing this term bandied about seemingly overnight -- it’s giving me baader-meinhof vibes
While being able to customize everything is nice, I prefer a curated experience that nails the defaults so I don't have to tweak it.
macos used to be that way from leopard to mountain lion IME. Now I'm considering switching back to a linux workstation bc I can't stand liquid glass and the devolution of a desktop OS becoming a mobile OS
