Half of all enterprises, 50%, have already repatriated workloads from public cloud to private environments, up from 35% in 2025. The breadth of what they are bringing back, and the reasons behind it, have both increased considerably.
Workloads with high security or compliance requirements remain the top category at 51%, unchanged year over year. But the categories moving up fastest tell a broader story.
