OK, yeah, that would be handy. Hated touch on the last laptop (Dell XPS of some sort), only ever touched it by accident or had _other_ people touch it by accident but this would be handy.

So the proposed mitigations (block multipart forms, disable upload progress) are actually helpful (if not necessarily sufficient).

Actual budget is good. Connectivity in Australia sucks though so I've kludged my own approach (open banking connections to a single local aggregator then puppeteer to sign in and get an access token, then directly calling the aggregators internal APIs with it and pushing the data into a local Actual server using Actual's APIs).

Relatedly, some aliases I have in place.

  assume = update-index --assume-unchanged
  unassume = update-index --no-assume-unchanged
  assumed = "!git ls-files -v | grep ^h | cut -c 3-"
  unassumeall = "!git assumed | xargs git update-index --no-assume-unchanged"
  assumeall = "!git st -s | awk {'print $2'} | xargs git assume"

postgres with rls to hide soft deleted records means that most of the app code doesn't need to know or care about them, still issues reads, writes, deletes to the same source table and as far as the app knows its working

Yeah, Kiwi English also, e.g. describing something as "not bad" rather than "good" is normal.

> How's things? > Not bad.

They're falling already? Excellent, I was hoping I could get to this point without ever having to figure out exactly what they were.
