It’s their money, that they are borrowing against everyone else’s money that is locked in accounts. The copium with these people is real.

Basically they didn’t insure themselves against there actual risks and will likely have further fines placed against them for being underinsured.

Fines are paid out over time by taking loans against your very profitable business. Do you want to loan money to someone who just had one of the biggest thefts in history and has secondary obligations and risks.

It’s hard to get interested in Google products because they throw them out all the time. If it’s not a step change in functionality why even go near their baggage.

Biggest issue Tesla, SpaceX, Anthropic and all these companies have is you can't inflate your value beyond the total market. It's the same thing as bitcoin pushers trying to imply the value would 100x again pushing beyond the total valuation of the Earth.

These companies have the benefit of a real product at least, but eventually the rubes get fleeced.

Tesla's market cap at this point is not based on building vehicles but technology/Automation/Hype.

If it were based on building vehicles there market cap would be 30x less than it was today comparing with Toyota.

Putting it in Information Technology is correct and the price is still stupid even then. It's why SpaceX is being forced to buy it, otherwise the whole deck of cards collapses.

It's not just an accusation. Her identifying information is basically found at a crime scene.

Every part of this would be fine if the companies allowing fraudulent parties to use their platforms were prosecuted for mail fraud, or interstate commerce fraud. Put the executive in jail. It's really this simple. The moment executives have repercussions they change their actions. Make cashapp prove they did their due diligence.

China likes blocking various minerals such as rare earths to force countries to accept whatever outcome they desire.

I’m guessing those new mines opening are to limit the impact of this sort of situation in the future.

The average person doesn't think about bikes of the ring ring variety costing 15k dollars.

Probably 2-3 people. From a random search online it looks like the company has about a dozen employees.

Data centers are a somewhat difficult target. Not alot of explosive content, highly redundant operations, low staff count to impact operations.

It's much easier to destroy the power generation for those data centers than the center itself, and power generation is much less redundant and more easily impacted. It can be highly visible if you are only hitting a few targets, but the actual impact ends up being pretty low.

That's a Nest issue, not an apple one. Google neutered their own API as of 2019, then did even more shenanigans after that. It's a google product, assume it will be killed the moment whoever is actively working it sees a new shiny.

Comparing Control automation of boring systems running all the time to robots is really funny to me. Those systems weren't previously run by humans before the more electronic approach, the control mechanism was physical in nature but less adjustable.

Most of the HVAC based control system changes are about saving energy, not labor.

Large existing players are pretty notorious for screwing up their leads and trying to move in many directions at once, or go to hard into the wrong one. Based on Google's huge number of failed products and poor ability to maintain products outside of ads I am not yet sold. They are very good at buying out their competition, but what happens when their competition has enough money not to be bought out?
