In the same vein, it is inefficient for so much wealth to be in the hands of just a few billionaires who just hoard it to no one’s benefit; it would be much more efficient if those dollars were in the hands of the bottom 95%, who would actually put those resources to full use.

I want to see every *aaS’s functionality required to be offered -on reasonable and non-discriminatory terms- as an API

Who is Ford to tell me I can’t have a widget for each of my ford EVs visible at the same time? Or even that the single-car widget they do allow has has to be four times bigger than I want it to be, and waste screen real estate on dead space and things that I don’t want?

Is it safe to assume that GrapheneOS will not be affected by this?

This is absolutely diabolical and should not be put into the hands of humanity.

What have you unleashed? Hey, look guys we got the next Oppenheimer over here.

As an ex-Apple engineer who grew up with four generations living in a duplex, and as someone who now sees people struggling with grocery and gas prices and utility prices, I feel like more people even having any disposable income at all might be a better start.

But can you have a human right your blurb instead of foisting AI slop on us?

That’s a mighty nice field of study you have there. It would be a shame if something happened to it

I use a jigsaw to cut wood. It works pretty good. What’s the point of a table saw?

You folks are having fun with the idea, but, well, in 2026 there’s absolutely a viable market for this.

I can’t tell whether or not you know that what you’re objecting to is AI slop.

I’m in the process of switching from an iPhone to Graphene on a pixel 10 Pro.

I can load apps from the web (disabled by default iirc), the local file system, a sandboxed instance of the Play store, Obtainium, f-droid, wherever.

Took some getting used to, but it’s nice feeling like I actually control and can choose how my phone works.

Oh, wow. I loved these games when they were new.

May need to find a modern HOTAS setup and immerse myself in these.

And you don’t find that Claude cheerfully ignores the content of your CLAUDE.md and does whatever the fuck it wants instead?

I caught it ignoring the prompt’s details, so added “include the output of the Unix ‘date’ command with each response.

And that worked great in that its absence became an indicator that Claude was off-prompt. Until it started including made-up strings that resembled, but had nothing to do with, the output of the Unix ‘date’ command.

Also, they seem to ignore auto mode, seizing on any reason to stop, and sometimes just stopping despite saying they’re proceeding with something.

Basically, ongoing enshittification.
