I came across an article/YouTube video/comment somewhere a few months ago that stated the reason we don't have 5k 27 inch OLED monitors is because the pixel density is too high for OLED to handle. But this display seems to contradict that. Anyone more knowledgeable on display tech have any comment?

I would be keen to replace my 5k iMac (converted to work as an external monitor) with a 5k OLED monitor!

Yeah I personally would have preferred a Touch Bar, with the F keys intact. In the age of AI workflows it could have been very useful.

Apparently the hinge is different - it results in less wobble when interacting via touch.

iPhone Air?

or if you want more battery life, iPhone 17 or 17e?

Or if you want even more battery life, iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max?

Interesting. Will be way out of my budget, but keen to see how the OLED display performs long term. Nearly everyone I've seen that has used an OLED on laptop say they absolutely love it. But I still hate the idea of touchscreen, especially with the changes to MacOS to cater for this

I'm in the exact same boat as you, exact same specs. CPU/GPU holding up perfectly for my use cases, but 512GB is tough to manage now.

Apparently another announcement coming tomorrow, with the OLED panels. But according to the fpt channel on Youtube, it doesn't look any different. Just has an OLED panel with touchscreen, with massive cooling changes inside.

We have many people - including world leaders - that support, or run cover for, mass deaths on our very own planet, right now.

Don't think there'd be much consideration for the morality of colonizing another planet.

It feels like the Covid lockdown WFH times where managers mandated everyone has their webcams on. Having been in some of these management conversations, it was purely to ensure no one is just chilling on their bed.

Pretty dumb, as at that time not everyone was had a home office set up, and one can work from their bed perfectly fine, especially when someone wants to put their feet up for a bit during a team meeting.

Me too! I briefly worked in a home office with the similar layout to the link above. Made such a massive difference in mood while working.

How many teenagers were killed by Hamas? And are there independent sources that verify this?

Also, is Oct 7 enough justification to shoot 335 bullets at 6 year old Hind Rajab?

Your questions reek of bias by trying to centre everything to Oct 7, as though history began there. If you really cared about children, you'd have referenced the thousands of Palestinian children killed by Israel before Oct 7.

Such weak whataboutism as well. I know so many pro-Palestine people personally and people I follow online that also speak out about Sudan, Iran, other ME countries.

Heck, I know so many Muslims critical of Muslim majority nations.

Well what else do you expect when you subjugate a native population for decades? Just expect perfect victims?

The peaceful route didn't work. Only idiots will think continuing with the status quo will result in anything different.
