I’ve lived for so long now that I’m cynical to many forms of government. What I currently think works best is a group of well educated brainy people, but that are led by some sort of strongman that makes all the final decisions. Seems to have worked for China and over the last decade in India. The US currently seems to have a strongman president but it’s missing the other crucial element of educated experts in his administration.

ROI in the space is not complicated, their revenue is already insane. You just drive down costs with fixed capex (GPUs), that will continue to pay out over 5-10 years. These are growing pains, they need to make it past the GPU scarcity/ramp up phase.

Oh yeah, when I worked for a crypto place, I managed several of the development teams. It would have actually been trivial for me to move hundreds of millions of dollars worth of crypto to a personal account. Why didn’t I do it? Probably because I’m an idiot and a good employee. This is when tornado cash was in full swing and Monero was still exchangeable for USD. I would have gotten away pretty cleanly.

It depends on what the engineer did to the laptop and if it’s his fault. If it was a vanilla install, and he didn’t do anything shifty to try and get around the device management access and permissions then it isn’t his fault.

There’s too much actual value for a flaming crash.

That’s nonsense. What about Maps, Sheets, Android, Meet, Chrome, Cloud etc. I don’t even know how you can exclude YouTube. It’s basically something they’ve worked on for more than a decade at this point. The number of google products we all use on a daily basis is pretty stunning.

I think they’ve considered a lot of these problems from the perspective of handling resin when they designed the system. The vapors are carcinogenic too, so they have an inbuilt air filteration system. The whole washing and UV curing stations can be done without ever having to touch the resin. I guess I don’t know what happens in case of a failure and how you have to deal with the pool of resin in the bottom of the plate even after a successful print job.

EDIT: So I looked it up a bit more and it seems like in the case of failed prints. If you want to clean out the resin, it does have a partial solution that helps you print out a cleaning sheet to capture all the debris so you may not have to do filtering also after a successful print, you can just leave the leftover resin in the tray that does not need to be dealt with.

I’ve never really consider sexual impropriety problematic in someone I look up to unless it’s pedophilia or rape.

Interesting angle of posing as a black man so Martin is being attacked by the in group. This is usually very effective and is essentially exactly what you see on racist forums/boards like 4chan and other more explicit supremacist boards.

Yeah, or at this point just get an LLM to verify it and explain the circuit.

If you’ve ever used resin printers, you know the cartridges are a good thing because the liquid inside is basically carcinogenic if it comes in contact with your skin, so a lot of people just don’t do resin printing for exactly that reason and this gets around that.

Pretty much any new product gets a Chinese copy within a year. How are you so confident JLC is not the source of atleast some of these. Also there is no other alternative so they have that security.
