It’s nonsensical that anybody would not want a bespoke chair. IKEA is just a fad.

If it’s functional, good enough, and the price is right people will prompt generate games and share them with or without the gate keeping game industry.

There’s a lot more to this world than software developers.

One issue the author doesn't touch on is authentication in the AI era. It's now exceedingly easy for someone to clone a voice, so that phone call at 1 a.m. may not even be a loved one on the other end.

In my family, we've settled on a code word: if anything happens, we simply ask them to say it to prove they are who they claim to be. Otherwise, I treat any call, especially one at 1 am, with suspicion.

I just learned yesterday that the default model on Mistral monthly plan is GLM 5.3 (an open weight Chinese model)

It's kind of sad that the only European LLM lab of significance is not even setting their model as a default one any longer.

Realizing something is not the same as acting on it and Europe is falling further and further behind.

Exactly especially without any hardware specs. This thing could be outdated in early 2027 let alone December.

Nah - Music, TV, Fitness etc all included. All shared with the family (and extended family) so it doesn't have the friction of piecemealing it all together, which I value more than anything.

I have a subscription to Apple+, 2 TB, $40 month plan.

I'm still getting the ads to upgrade my storage. Can't dismiss it. Why?

You have Toronto, Ontario under Ontario Airport in California. As well as Hamptons Cam in Long Beach, I think.

Has Mistral released anything worthwhile in the past 6 months compared to the Chinese and American labs? Mistral Medium and Shieldstral? Qwen27B and Deepseek were released the same week as Mistral which... certainly took the wind out of its sails.

Yoshua Bengio is a gem, LLMs don't exist without him. But what has Canada done as a whole in terms of releasing anything approaching Astra, GLM, etc.?

Then maybe the EU and Canada should start innovating, so they can have a seat at the table rather than just wringing their hands about it.

He bought YouTube ads with his companies corporate credit card for his kid because his kid was complaining he wasn't getting enough digital attention… there’s so much wrong with this scenario and a couple steps beyond “my kid wants a new stuffy.”

Grok? Google?

I'm not a fan of Elon, nor do I use Cursor, but OpenAI and Anthropic aren't the only models.

There is no moat. You can vibecode an app that does this conversion in 30 minutes and never need to upload it to a AI again.

I'm not saying this right or wrong, but it is what a tech savy (e.g HN audience) has and will be doing. '

Perhaps we aren't the market for this webapp but I don't really the value it in post 2025

It’s a garbage article with no real content aside from being a superficial advertisement

The money is in B2B. This is nice as a hobby project, but it won’t scale beyond that as meeting transcriptions/summarization are an actual business force multiplier.

I wouldn’t quit your day job to go all in on this.
