I read an article about a controversial orthodontist or something, who espouses the same theory. This is why whenever skulls are found from before the industrial age, and thus before processed food was common, they have perfectly straight teeth. We were probably evolved to eat much tougher foods than we eat today.

In case the US takes over Canada, I guess. After all, we've already taken over Lake America.

I like mine ok. It's lightweight and gets the job done well enough. Are there vacuums out there nowadays that aren't cheap plastic construction?

Principles are by definition aspirational. The idea, I'd say, is to always have them in mind and get as close to them as possible.

Unfortunately if you don't start out building the application from these principles, the tech debt piles up, and then it's hard to recover.

I guess it depends on your definition of "behavior?" For example if the config is the endpoint address of an external resource, it's not really changing the application behavior per se.

There's something so ... bland about this typeface. I get no feeling from it whatsoever. It's like the textual embodiment of the AI conversational style.

I see three-year-olds wearing Nirvana shirts all the time. I don't bother asking them if they prefer Bleach or Incesticide. Also a GenX'r FWIW.

You could even argue we've been there since Ronald Reagan, who was a movie actor before his political career.

Those people are not artists though, they're athletes. I think with the word "culture" the author is mainly referring to forms of art such as movies, music, tv, and literature.

There is a cable show "The Food that Built America" where they do discuss the candy bar battles of the early 20th century, and specifically the Mars family drama. It's not to the production level of an HBO show, but pretty entertaining nonetheless.

The 280 freeway on the Peninsula in the Bay Area has banned billboards, and it is quite a pleasant drive.

Sure, but the author takes it much further than that. She wants to have the AI write into her brain as well as read from it.
