I think they mean VPN as in WireGuard where each customer would have a separate private network to the service provider. This way the service wouldn't be exposed to the public Internet.

What happens to that understanding when you're gone?

As an aside, I often wonder how would classics like Mythical Man-Month or Project Phoenix would be (re)written today.

Vibecoded apps will have to include MCP servers so the LLM agents can interact with them directly.

Not necessarily 6, but KDE Connect is such a seamless experience of integrating your phone with your computer out of the box. Sharing clipboard, files, notifications, controlling cursor and keyboard from your phone, controlling media - all of that just works really well, without online accounts, on your local network.

Sure, there's Apple Continuity, but looks like it was released 2014 (KDE Connect - 2013) and it's tightly locked to the Apple ecosystem. And yes, the 2013 version doesn't have the same feature parity or stability as the current one, but that's ok because we're not discussing bugfixes or polish.

It's innovative enough that GSConnect is the Gnome implementation of the KDE Connect.

I'm not familiar with MLB, only with NBA. But even their "ad-free" really isn't - there are still ad banners inside the arenas, on the court itself, and on the jerseys, the announcers often read ads ("this segment was brought to you by ..."), and if there is arena feed during the regular breaks, the in-arena events like a half-court shot are often sponsored as well. Plus there's standard service ads that announce next games.

Unless MLB blurs/bleeps all of these, it's not really ad-free.

There were lots of tumblr blogs (now defunct) that ridiculed Comic Sans used in signs and posters. Later on the same thing happened to the Lobster font.

Reasons were the same as now: low effort and overuse.

So did you have two rooms with the same objects in them but different temperature swings, over a long period of time, and then compared?

What's the baseline and what's the safe delta?

I actually used two things:

1 - the search function on the S&P Global site: https://www.spglobal.com/en/search#q=nike&rows=10&pagenum=1&...

For me, right now the latest result is from Feb 27, 2026

2 - Google search with this query: `site:spglobal.com Nike`

Even when I limited the search results to the last month, the only page that shows for me is https://www.spglobal.com/market-intelligence/en but I'm not sure why - it doesn't have anything to do with it.

I see now your link, thanks. I have no idea why it's not indexed in the site's own search or why it's skipped for me in Google. Interestingly, I just checked the same query on Bing and it's there, but not in the top.

Did you find a page that lists all the companies on S&P 100 in a simple table?

I wanted to check the primary source so I went to (what looks like) the official S&P website and their S&P 100 section at https://www.spglobal.com/spdji/en/indices/equity/sp-100/

I can't find any press release about it. And the Constituents section lists only 10 of them, so I can't check who is there. I even checked the PDFs with methodology but couldn't find the list there.

I even tried to limit the search on Google to spglobal.com domain and I can see this in the result preview: "Constituents. Top 10 Constituents by Index Weight. Full Constituents List. Constituent. Symbol. Sector*. Sector Breakdown." But when I click it, Full Constituents List is nowhere on the page.

What's going on? Am I missing something obvious?

Isn't the thermal cycling greater outdoor than indoor because of the differences in the outdoor temperature between day and night? So most ordinary materials indoors should be fine with a delta of even 10 Kelvins/10 Celsius/18 F.

All of the material thermal failures I can think of come from localized and more extreme sources: electronics, lightbulbs, washing/drying clothes, washing dishes in a dishwasher. Water below freezing point too, but that's because the temperature fell below a threshold. None of these are from heating or cooling rooms directly with HVAC.

Let's assume I have control of my own computer. On this computer with Linux and X11, how do I restrict programs (such as Zoom client) from accessing the clipboard?

Would something like that be better? https://jsfiddle.net/hs03xbuo/

I deleted the stylesheet, removed the duplicate FAQ section, and reworded a few sentences.
