Sounds like that scene in the Fallout TV series season 2, where a bunch of middle-management Vaulties finally manage to get out to the wasteland and promptly get eaten by wildlife.

I work on a FLOSS data center management framework. 13 years ago, while at the office preparing to configure a new server, I had a flash of insight seeing the entire data center managed by such a tool. I saw it complete in my head. And since then, I'm still working towards that goal, that I'll never really reach.

Perhaps the previous birth rate was artificially increased due to inequality imposed by part of the population. More equality and opportunity for everyone means more choices and less pressure to reproduce. What's the base birth rate for human species?

In Plan 9 you would get an easy way of namespacing by just unmounting some directories.

All those game mashups made recently by LLMs... Give me a port of Firefox on Plan 9, I'll be impressed then.

> What's AI?

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a machine-based system that can, for human-defined goals, make predictions, recommendations, or decisions. Official U.S. sources describe it as computerized systems that work and react in ways often thought to need intelligence—learning, solving problems, and acting under changing conditions.

A common statutory-style definition (used in federal AI policy) is: a system that uses machine and human inputs to perceive environments, build models from that information, and then choose information or actions.
