I use the minimalist phone launcher which has the option to set up blocking schedules for certain apps.

Between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. I cannot use YouTube, Vivaldi, The real estate app, WhatsApp, etc.

If I want to unblock it I have to wait down a 3-minute timer to make sure that I really want to turn off the blocker

Left and right partisan politics is such a stupid red herring. You can easily get any vowed xyz to agree with most points when pointing out the bad.

Most of us are trying to make a better society for ourselves and our families, so there's a lot more that we unify over rather than disagree on.

I'm firmly in the "programming is fun" camp, I enjoy thinking about the problems and solutions, but if I can get a LLM to deal with boilerplate then that's all the better for me.

This is really cool, I wanted to do something similar for hanzi (Chinese characters) so I could practise Chinese handwriting.

4 lines and only the last 2 words tell us what they do

I can't believe I haven't made that connection myself tbh

If you ask it to say "I am alive" it has to be able to respond with "I am alive"

They adapt to the buttons you press. Thus, intelligent and capable of feeling pain.

The elixir documentary doesn't quite have the same zest

I'm convinced there's forces out there who are trying to make these projects deliberately not work so that we can all collectively discredit the idea.

Naturally ventilated airports would probably have issues with fumes. Might not be a great idea.

If I believe correctly the Dyson headquarters was designed to be fairly efficient as well.

My father in laws house was intentionally designed to be naturally ventilated, thermal mass concrete slab in the middle, etc. And it's comfortably cool even on 40 degree days.

I'm pretty sure you have to have graduated elementary school to be able to post here.

I'll happily admit I'm wrong though, in light of evidence before me

Could it be that atheists are the ones who are ignoring reality?

Right, so the US had a high of 35% and then dropped and has never been higher than that.

I just wanted to check the OPs survey because it could have been something different i.e.: that supports the claim

I don't believe that. Can you find this survey you were talking about?
