I noticed a Toyooka Craft box in the article (on the "Louis Poulsen PH 3/2" pic), and thought "fountain pen user." This article about their setup mentions fountain pens.

FYI the article links a discussion on Reddit, which has answers for several comments made here.

The article gives a link to the discussion on Reddit. In it, Edward says "I actually did pretty much gave up sleep for a week. That said there are a few hour stretches here and there where I leave it on mostly cleanup tasks and doze off. you can find a couple of 2-3 hour breaks where it got hung up on approval while I was lights out. "

My C is really rusty but aren't those different ? If using #if/#endif the compiler won't even see the comments.

Why is every paragraph in this article at most 2 sentences long, with most of them being a single sentence?

I use Deezer (in a browser tab, and on my iphone.) It's good, but far from great.

If several artists / bands share the same name, there will be one artist page with all of the artists/bands releases. The queue management sucks, I can add stuff to the queue, move / remove individual entries. That's it. If I added an album to the queue and want to remove it, I have to click a little cross one time for each track of the album. Notifications about new releases: great. Except the UI is a tiny dropdown, and hovering over an item removes the little marker signaling it's a new one. It's really difficult to catch up when there are more than 5 new entries. etc.

IIRC win2k introduced some transparency effects and shadows, like when menus would gradually appear from transparent to fully opaque (I don't know the right word for that.) I found it really cool at the time.

I thought it was more of a cultural thing, or perhaps enforced by the building code ? Here in France I've never seen a house or flat without shutters. In Bangkok, when I was looking for a condo, none of them had shutters.

A cursory web search tells me shutters can influence the DPE ("diagnostic de performance énergétique".) A bad rating means you can't rent your property.

They are complimentary. Shutters reduce the amount of heat coming in. AC gets whatever heat managed to go in out.

One thing I'll never understand is not having shutters, only curtains. I live in France, almost everyone has shutters. But in other countries it's often different. I lived in Thailand for a couple of years and had only curtains, so the sun would still get past the window pane, heat the curtain, and the AC would then have take this heat outside again. This seemed massively inefficient.

I thing the best compromise is using whatever traditional, passive means of cooling we can, and then AC as needed.

The japanese page says "© Designphil Inc." at the bottom. Designphil also owns Traveler's Company which makes traveler's notebooks, another interesting system, and MD product.

You could try getting an EF nib and pair it with a fast drying ink ( https://mountainofink.com/blog/fast-dry-inks for examples)? Also, some manufacturers (for example Lamy) make special nibs for left-handed people.

I initially thought about sharing this about stress and didn't, but then I read your post.

That's how I learned I was stressed while working. I have a Garmin watch and everyday I get an alert telling me I had a stressful day.

During the day if I do a little check-in where I observe how I feel, I often notice a lot of muscle tension, especially in the plexus area, and that I stop breathing for extended periods of time. I try to consciously relax, which would work for a few minutes before the tension comes again. I end up being exhausted almost everyday. My watch has been telling me I'm either in "recovery" or "strained" for months.

Stress can be difficult to notice, especially when you're stressed.

Same, and most of the times it’s when I sleep longer. Perhaps because there’s a lot of REM sleep towards the end of the night (as my Garmin watch tells me) and/or because I’m kind of half awake at that time. So maybe dream recall indicates I slept a whole night
