But great article if you enjoy reading grumpy British humor roasting America

In the Netherlands, on the “elf” of November, children make handmade lanterns and wander door to door, singing for candy. It’s frikkin cute— that’s why Halloween is discouraged.

Yes! But at some level, doesn’t it kind of get blurred?

That is, we are trying to come up with rules describing the underlying rules, right? The world isn’t made of stuff, it’s made of rules, right? Or math? Just not the same notation, at least.

Help! I feel like I’m falling off a metaphysical cliff!

“ Most astrobiologists think water must be present on a planet’s surface for life to arise there, and indeed the first bacteria appeared on Earth almost as soon as water pooled on its cooling surface roughly four billion years ago. But if Earth were just 2 percent closer to the sun, that pooling wouldn’t have happened. Instead, all of Earth’s water would have boiled away. We got lucky”

I’d love to understand where you get the 18 tons of CO2 for 500B tokens. A source would be really helpful.

Check out 20k historical books and manuscripts with MCP on chat or Claude: https://SourceLibrary.org/mcp
