I'm surprised Camera works. Even postmarketOS has difficulty with camera on most devices.

I upgraded my MacBook pro and iPad just for the touchscreen experience when I'm extending my screen to the iPad. Big mistake. I was on Sequoia until then which was incredibly stable. I don't have the time and energy to fresh install sequoia, so I guess I'll just keep using it until Apple fixes 27 or until my patience runs out and I do a clean install of Sequoia

Was this entirely vibe coded? The readme is very obviously Claude with no human edits at all.

Lobbying is legalise bribery, plain and simple. You pay money to get politicians to return the favor in terms of regulations and policies that benifit you (even if they are harmful to the general public)

Funny you mention this. I ask gemini what time it is, and it replies in a different language. I've checked all language settings, and they appear to be correct. Yet gemini just refuses to reply in correct language, and it only happens when I'm asking it for time.

One of my cousins built an ERP for a factory he was managing. It looked great, and seemed to work great. He has no technical background, and seeing the app work gave me real paranoia about my job security.

However, when I looked underneath the code, it was a mess. Biggest problem I saw in the brief time I spent looking at it's internals was that it wasn't using foreign keys in database. Sales invoices had customer info duplicated, and not referenced from the customer table like any sane developer would do. Same thing with purchase orders and supplier info.

AI coded apps look great at surface level, but contains huge footguns underneath.

The duality of LLMs is real. On one hand, they are solving unsolved math problems, on the other hand they get fooled by the strawberry test or the car wash test.

We see this all the time on reddit and HN, where some users are building crazy things with LLM and others are swearing by how useless LLMs are. Some people claim SWE will be dead in a few years, and others are claiming the AI bubble is going to burst anytime now.

I'm neither pro China, nor pro US. I'm pro open weights models, and I'm pro cheaper hardware. At this point I don't see any american frontier labs releasing SOTA open weights model, and I don't see ASML/Nvidia/Samsung monopoly getting any competition from anywhere apart from China in the near future.
