I remember being excited about being able to do skinned characters using a T&L pipeline but IIRC it didn't quite work for what I needed.

As with a lot of Nvidia GPUs I managed to get one of these super early before they came out. In this case I think Chas from Microsoft dropped one off for me. Why didn't I buy more Nvidia stock back then lol? Whoops.

This is a good point. It's a form of future proofing. Hopefully Apple doesn't drop the ball too hard on backward compatibility.

For me I just want a set of consistent things from car to car. I have a few different vehicles I might switch between on any given day. Carplay works in all of them.

Just based on this conversation we are doomed. Nobody even agrees with you that there is a spending problem. They all think the "wealthy" magically have a ton of untaxed cash flow to solve the insane over spending. There will be no reckoning, no reform so obviously hyper inflation is going to be the out. Scary.

The issue here is everyone expects the government to be their literal daddy. The government isn't there to take care of you.

I'm with you, these people you are arguing with just want to spend us into oblivion. If people think we've had high inflation up until now well... we are just getting started.

A minimum of 2030? That seems excessively pessimistic.

SpaceX already has 10,000 satellites on orbit that are basically preview versions of space data centers. They've already paid 5 years of that 5-10 year timeline you outlined.

This all sounds like really good reasons not to have anything to do with the place.

I actually think the article makes some pretty interesting points. It's not about the name of it though.

Not bad litmus tests. And yes a lot of idiots seem to fail at steel manning. I mean if you can't steel man your opponent what are you even doing?

I mean we used dist^2 all the time for comparisons in our game engine back in the 90s (multiple different engines actually).

So it was a known thing...

Oxfam are just communists who have lost any credibility with me that they may have ever had.
