Electricity is cheaper at night but only 20% of my consumption is at night, so I wouldn't mind if the situation was reversed.

I guess using electricity to heat during the night could be an issue, but we could also accept to let the temperature drop.

The question assumes the state is at fault and the fault is not providing enough funding. In reality, the fault can come from many sources: students (which aren't literally children); parents; foreign, national and local political influence; teachers and other staff and association members; the broken windows theory; lack of old-fashined values and discipline?

You can provide the same X euros per year of funding for each student of each school and end up with widly different results.

I live in France and we just had a good week with the Pope followed by a terrible week with the hard-left. The actually conquered a university, tagged it completely, made piles of stones to throw at cops, put soap on the ground to make it slipely. It's not only the students, many are complicit in this loss of values.

It's sad and hard to admit that we're shaped by our government and the result is 1984-ugly.

I bought a car that seemed cheap for what it was. Turns out is was unpopular because of the timing belt in oil. Can't say I've had any issue with it though (with basic maintenance) but it's only 8 years old.

She can master her emotions also, playing instead of being angry after this communication issue.

Learning an entire Mozart sonata is probably easier. How much engineering there is in the memorizing or in the composition I don't know, a lot?

I reckon California is increasingly democratic but at least you're talking about a tax on some good news. It's still quite taxing because you wouldn't gain any compensation if the home lost value and because a lot of the appreciated portion is probably just following inflation.

The 15% I talked about is on the total value of the home, although to be fair 33+% of people avoid agency fees (about 7%) by selling directly to an individual.

You should live in France, having to pay 15% of the value of your home to be allowed to move, being cash poor (which means having low flexibility) because 50% of what your company pays for you goes to mandatory social things, taxes and insurances and most of the rest goes to fixed expenses.

In France the minimum wage is roughly indexed on inflation (especially if inflation isn't too high) but getting a raise when your salary is higher than this is very difficult, especially without job hopping. Your employer knows that he can risk not giving you a raise and you can't as easily risk being upset about it.
