Step 1. Find code on GitHub.

Step 2. Copy it into your repo. Who cares what the license says, how would the authors of that code ever see it being misused, because the place it is being misused requires a security clearance?

Step 3. Deliver the code as yours.

Truly, how will the people who authored something on GitHub ever know? Any circumstance you describe would require someone without clearance to know implementation details of some software. Which is to say, either the thing I describe happens all the time, or security clearances are overblown.

Is it that difficult? Use a warm Safari profile on a real Mac. Then Turnstile becomes Apple's problem, ie, solved, because they use PAT.

i don't mean to engage in this rhetoric where you have to worry about being flamed. i'm just asking you to sincerely answer the question and not worry about how it looks.

for example one big lever is student loan debt relief. another is mortgage and auto loans relief. another is reducing the exclusivity period for pharmaceutical patents. so these are taxes in only the metaphorical sense - you get worse medicine with shorter exclusivity periods - but maybe people like that trade?

> the stock market crashing just means cutting back on primarily discretionary spend - think no new car and maybe not buying the family new iPhones every year - they're not in any danger of going hungry, especially if they have any sense.

this is a very paul krugman hand wavey POV. without a doubt, it would be a catastrophe.

"Hey Mr. Inference Provider, you can sell tokens for $0.03 that cost you $0.02, to PRC end users who are too poor to use Claude or don't like that it refuses their use case, which is spam, scams and cheating on homework.

Or, you can trade $0.03 of tokens that cost you $0.02 for $1.00 in ANTHROPIC SHARES, which makes the thing that everyone uses for like, math discoveries and curing cancer."

Average Hacker News commenter (not you): "Nooooooo it's not profitable Anthropic is going to crater nobody will take their convertible notes"

which government lever can increase the wealth of the lower 80% of income earners in the way you want? the problem with the kind of progressive taxation to fuel "wealth redistribution" (really, job programs) you're imagining is that government spending is inefficient - do we want to pay the prices it costs to convince people to do backbreaking work building ghost cities and bridges to nowhere, it's not like in China where everything is driven by fakery and coercion. compare that to the seemingly unlimited cushy office bullshit jobs that bloat in the private sector creates.

It doesn't really work like that. There are "keys" where you train in a specific response to a variety of queries. You can't really fine tune that away either.

The more parsimonious explanation is that 100 PMs are even less qualified to make surgical robots, but at least they can download a video game and play it for 5 minutes. There's a great scene in You Can See Everything where Billy Evans is watching bio presentations on 1.5x speed, which obviously, makes him look like a huge moron - "knowing enough" bio is very bearish.

Anyway, let's take your theory to its logical conclusion: the product development between real and simulated soft tissue behavior is much bigger than Exponential Time being a hypothesis and being proven. There isn't some effective acceleraltruist path here. Dario Amodei was a biotech dropout. The thing you are betting on which Google is not doing anyway, maybe they will destroy the descriptive single cell sequencing paper mill, but they're not going to be able to simulate the fat inside a BMI 30 abuela undergoing a gallbladder removal.

another POV is, what even are these experiences? whom are they for? it would take Google 10 minutes to hire all the best game developers for Android, and cost them like $2m, which is peanuts, and give them fancy Google Research titles. but instead, they're trying to get 100 google PMs, who don't give their kids screentime and who don't play any games the objective of making a product for Bart Simpsons. like these people don't realize that being good parents disqualifies them from making immersive first person shooter, "narrative" experiences.

Here let me fix their statement for you:

> "The external collaborations will follow four principles... until Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, Google and dozens of Chinese companies all make the same offering, in which case we will rediscover and re-implement all of the things you hate about traditional academic advancement and publishing, except because our companies are run by people even more mercurial and self-absorbed than university presidents, we'll wind up supporting even fewer people to do it."

there's no threat model for this (mass-media image authenticity verification) that attestation solves. i mean, i know people will say that there is, but they're all wrong haha.

IPO returns for IPO buyers who hold past lockup expiry, yes, it's been really bad.

Biotech IPOs are even worse. There are 5-year segments where only about 1 in 40 biotech & pharmaceutical IPOs trade above their IPO price at expiry.

On the flip side, in biotech, biopharma and SaaS, 2025 IPOs had nearly 10x the valuations of 2015 IPOs. So you may trade below expiry, but the structure of the earlier deals you participated in, you make way more money anyway.

you're conflating a lot of different stuff together.

if someone knew a better way to improve test scores without cheating on them, we'd use it. it's a very hard problem.

on the flip side it is pretty obvious how construction and manufacturing can be automated and what the impact will be. it's so obvious that we already tariff and ban stuff that, from our POV, is automated, like prefab buildings, for solely political reasons.

there's a reason this is a meme and not one of the Ten Commandments haha

people are not questioning whether or not the goal is good or bad. they're showing that the Concern is really a Concern Troll. that is, their concerns aren't really sincere.

that said i think the appropriate meme for this is the Big Chin guy

did they though? you're kind of assuming that they were. i'm confident so-and-so employee common holder got wiped out, but everyone? no.
