I bought a Thinkpad X1 Carbon a couple of years ago for my linux laptop and had been using it for months before I realized when I was wiping a smudge off of the monitor that it was a touch display! It was quite the surprise. I have yet to find it of any value.

To be fair, pudding.cool has been putting out this same format of content from well before LLMs were a thing. They are all about interactive data stories.

Wow! This actually gives a pretty promising alternative to GIMP on Linux. I was resigned in my fate to just deal with the awkwardness of GIMP and Inkscape after years of the creative cloud suite. It is clearly missing much at the moment, but if they can keep going this would be amazing. All packaged as AppImages so no need for the persistent junk running on the system.

There are lots of good option (and they all use the same set of models, so really take your pick), but Handy works very well.

I'm not going to pretend to be an expert at it, but BI tools let you interrogate your data. This can be used for endless use cases for basically any department in an organization. But for instance, if you're a sales leader you might have some questions about all of the sales and marketing data in your company to focus your team's efforts for the next quarter. When you figure out which questions are actually returning useful findings, you then can take a set of these and build a dashboard which lets you easily re-examine those particular questions and their results with always up-to-date (or up-to-date-ish) data and can easily share it with the team.

This is the way. My TV tries its hardest to get me to connect and whenever I turn it on, it doesn’t fail to remind me that I’ve disabled the microphone and that I should turn it back on. But as soon as the Apple TV takes over all is good.

You realize the body font is just system-ui which is your system's default? It is just the headings that use Space Grotesk.

> pretty much globally?

Are there some places on Earth stuck in a time distortion field or a loop or something?

It looks quite well done, though I'm definitely not in the target demographic for this. I'm happy with my high-end desktop devices and shittier mobile devices. The last thing I want is for my phone to be more capable and incentivize me to use it more lol. I use mine to call, text, listen to music, check email, use the map, track workouts, and basic web browsing. I don't need more than that.

This seems solid. It is so frustrating when you state a fact and it goes off and does research and confirms that indeed the fact that you stated is accurate.

Why promote this as being vibecoded? There are so many good games out there, why would one choose to spend a moment playing one that the creator of implies is half-assed by how they talk about it? If the game is good and you're proud of it, why not promote it rather than your means of creating it? We are all responsible for our own work at the end of the day, whether we code it ourselves or use AI agents. Emphasizing that it has only been done by AI is not very enticing.

I’m very surprised to see others commenting here that they like the fake reviews. Claude loves adding that shit, but you’re allowed to modify and remove the junk it produces.

> * None of these people exist. We checked. Twice. Legal is chill

Maybe I’m just the old man yelling at the clouds, but can we not have some integrity and actually put the truth out there? There is nothing wrong with using AI, but we’re still responsible for our work.

That is one way to look at it. But equally, the older you get, the longer you've fought off becoming a corpse.
