Do you have a source pointing at that common definition? I lived a majority of my life in the West US (ID, MT, WA), and have never heard North Dakota referred to as the West.

Maybe it's a Canadian thing? -100W is the border of Manitoba and Alberta?

Is biweekly twice a week or every two weeks? My previous gig had grooming/internal grooming every week. We had stand ups twice a week (biweekly). Almost all of these meetings were relatively worthless imo. They existed to justify a BA's position and "track velocity".

What's a suburb? Depending on the level of density and sentiment about public parks (poor people's lawns v. a public good), some relatively low density places are better about public bathrooms. Boise is something like 5K people per sq. mile downtown, but there's public bathrooms at regular intervals on the Greenbelt in places at lower 3K densities.

As homelessness has gotten worse though, there's been noticeable encampments/vehicle caravans building up at these bathrooms.

I actually still use it all the time. Just a habit from when I started using what was then OS X in '08.

We're using https://next.yarnpkg.com/features/zero-installs, and it gets rid of one off issues like this (unless you have native deps which require an install).

Typescript works perfectly well without classes, even better sometimes (see decorators and Typescript).

The shape of data is more foundational than classes. An object without a class is a perfectly good way to organize data too, based on its shape.

In German, the vowels between schwül and schwul were really difficult to do for me as an American English speaker. I couldn't ever hear the difference between rounded and unrounded vowels. American English vowels are only rounded in the back. u and o (and in the East the au in caught).

Almost certain that macOS opens everything in my default browser of choice when clicking on a link in AirMail (Firefox).

Voiceless phonemes(?) tend to become voiced when they're between two vowels. Boise natives hypercorrect to say Boy-see, when most folks from outside the area say Boy-zee.

Historic shifts like that are loafes -> loaves.
