Biggest issue as a US manufacturer myself. Support/sales/service.

Chinese shops are very pro customer service, and the large ones I work with are amazing. American shops are god awful in comparison. Designs take weeks to get manufacturing feedback on, if they care to respond to you at all because you aren't in some imaginary box of customers that they want. In many cases if you aren't coming with them immediately with a purchase order of a million units, they just ignore you.

But yea the blockers in the US are immense for more US business growth. If anything in the next 10 years we will see more collapse of US manufacturing as baby boomers sell off their businesses. Nobody under the age of 50 can afford to start a new manufacturing business without VC funding. The cost of real estate is bonkers alone (unless you try and build out in bumfuck nowhere, in which case you now have labor shortages), and the numerous layers of certifications that buyers want you to hold for corporate checkbox ticketing is the cherry on top.

Chinese engineering labor is dirt cheap. They don't need your design files to make a clone.

And contrary to popular white-washed belief, there is very little to anything special in most copied designs.

There is a singular gerber standard, the deviation is generally just caused by CAM tools.

Scraping the barrel for votes,, while it is an issue a few people are passionate about, I doubt its going to win anyone ever across party lines nor get any additional people out to vote lol.

If that account was truely forgotten about, there is no way it wasn't closed and simply sent to the relevant state Unclaimed Funds group of the state treasury where it waits to be claimed for quite indefinitely.

Not sure there's much value in training the AI on the executives playing golf. Lol

Well like the very short 3D-TV fad, I can see a big sudden goldrush into AI powered robots (more than companies are in now).

It is also possible they all pivot to copying Neural Link and upselling the whole world on brain implants that the oligarchs can control.

But it doesn't funnel billions in government money to the private sector.

O Lord, the next wave of desperation, now they all have to "solve" some challenging math problem.

Can't wait to see how late to the party Google is with this one later on. Lol

The entire stock market is being held up by AI. Any company that is not AI for the last 5 years has been declining or flat. But are retirement funds really impacted by the bubbling bursting, or are they simply correcting back to the real economic condition for the majority of the country.

> but is who ultimately owns the downside risk of the AI infra boom?

The US taxpayer for the inevitable corporate bailouts.

So the cold call emails that I regularly mark as spam will get slightly more personalized and less templated?

Sounds like a great use of tokens.

Well, either corporate security got incompetent or they intentionally let select leaks exist to "test the market response". Established companies tend to get more risk averse overtime.

Only if they can find a way to dress up their financials for the IPO filing. They don't want to get WeWorked.
