Also Ken Silverman, Tim Sweeney, John Carmack, etc. This is easier to do with small-scale indie games or earlier generation games

There needs to be a tech lead. They outline rules ahead of time. Another process needs or their own manual review surfaces any emergent ideological shifts. This is usually through redundant implementations surfacing in the codebase. They then make a decision on which option to take or introduce a different option.

I've read Bad Blood and seen the movie. Both can be true. Some con men or confidence people have the ability to uphold untruths much longer than a normal person would be comfortable with. Reading Bad Blood, you're distanced from the psychology of Holmes, but in the movie your placed directly in front of her.

Holmes constructs a world with her lies. I don't how much time she spends brushing it off, or she just adapts it to her normal behavior, but there are scenes which are telling. Like when she explains how the device works and speaks in a painfully roundabout way to make it seem like she's not lying. Watching a panel about the movie with the Bad Blood author someone mentioned she almost is dressing the exact opposite of her old appearance. Earthy brown sweater instead of black turtleneck and hair down instead of in a pony tail. Even her initial image is eerie in how much she directly knocked off Steve Jobs' appearance on reflection.

It's one of the best recent metroidvanias. It deserves a lot more attention. I was surprised by how good it was.

I currently work at a FAANG and applied through the normal site. I didn't apply for years until I attended a Google event and a recruiter just told me to apply on the website.

Wordpress was an amazing piece of software. They could have a future in the AI era which has a similar issue in standardizing content managing platforms, but what a fumble. And over something with such a small moat as a hosting platform for businesses.

Wordpress dropped the ball on hosting. Their offering was mediocre and barely used by businesses. They were more focused on adding features to the core product than a Business friendly hosting solution. WPEngine isn't even that amazing. It's common sense features that most people running Wordpress wouldn't do at a high premium(regular backups, forced updates, etc.). If he put 10-20% of the effort into offering plain solutions for businesses they wouldn't be in the position they're in
