Moore's law is going to eventually eviscerate the compute needs and allow us to run compute locally and cheaply.

I find the reason why I can't run IPv6 is that we have ISP failover and the IPv6 doesn't failover gracefully with two different wan providers. With IPv4, the local ip table isn't impacted by a change in WAN ip for the most part and the local network keeps on chugging perfectly.

Will this strategy work on lower memory unified memory machines like Apple Silicon or AMD?

For most users it's built off of Safari. My understanding is that Orion essentially exists, because Apple restricts search providers on Safari. Most people use it on iOS for that reason, because when you use Kagi on iOS, you cannot use the search engine as a search provider and have to install the Kagi extension, but safari is still probably leaking your searches to whatever search provider you selected (Google, Duckduckgo, etc.). However, no alternate browser engine is allowed on iOS so safari is all you get.

I'm sure Apple's excuse is that they don't want bad actors changing the search provider to some spyware search engine and I'm sure that's true, but for your average Kagi user, it feels like that it what Google's getting by paying Apple billions of dollars to be the default search engine. It's hard to use a search engine other than the 5 that Apple approved.

The problem I have is that when I ssh into my mac, I want to be able to control software from the command line and having a popup authorization window that just halts the software being controlled is not good for me. I'm okay with having the authorization, but they need to make it visible to ssh users when ssh'ing in.

I do feel since I use hermes on my work windows computer and grok bot in the cloud on everything else that computer use is so useful and important, but I'm also worried that Apple will not be a good choice for that.

I'm really looking for a multi-modal image capable version of Jev.

If we could get machine learning type results on images without training, that would be fantastic.

Maybe we should create petitions for each of the 31 states covered by IDEMIA and all the states covered by Canadian Bank Note to add this to the ID cards.

I can't imagine Illinois, where I live that I believe uses IDEMIA from what I know about the Apple Wallet rollout wouldn't want to add this.
