If things can't be unlimited they shouldn't be advertised as unlimited.

Lol, if you pass a = 4.5 to their homepage const result = (a > 4) ? 10 : 12 you get 11. Not everything is differentiable.

I don't think you're "absolved" if you don't know you're harming, in fact, yourself. Guilt is all about intention.

I have this in the greenhouse that came with my house. Seeing its roof closed in fall after it had been open all summer made me question my sanity.

I'm always wary of colleagues like that. They start doing everybody's job (worse) and immediately management expects everybody to do the same ("there are no excuses..."), with terrible consequences. From experience, they need to be recognized and isolated soon.

Isn't inherent impermanence one of the factors that make street art art? If we treat graffiti like museum pieces exposed outside instead of inside, we don't do justice to them (and we end up in these kind of ridiculous situations). Graffiti are defaced, painted over, repainted, even modified over time. They're intrinsecally not immutable. If we think of them as immutable, they're just spray-painted art brut that happens to be on a wall instead of a picture panel - not very interesting.

By the name, I thought this was gonna be a lightweight AI vector distributed database with data science analysis baked in (for AI, of course) at the minimum.

Imagine my relief when I discovered this is... an atlas of actual bird feathers.

Well, no. At least, for me this cheap "feel good" stuff never really worked. It means something different if you made it different in some way. Could be a different technique, or different focus. If it's the same stuff that everybody else does it's worth less than nothing, and I can't see how me being the author changes that.

Isn't this basic enshittification? Offer a really good product to get users, use number of happy users to get funded, then once you're funded you gut the product, you raise prices and you hope not all your customers flee.

Not for a company app, where support and maturity count.

It depends how you define "named", but for example, not all the grain of sands you see on a beach are named (yes, they are named collectively, but not individually. If "collectively" is valid, then that's further proof that "unnameable" things can't exist, because they already have a collective name).

How is it a paradox? Isn't this just a proof that there are many unnamed things, but no unnameable ones?
