The world is now a closed club of aging incumbents, circled by middle powers, developing countries, and failing states.

Not sure why they do this, anyone has an idea? Like, the Internet is just there, I can go and watch porn whenever I like. If I am watching your show, it's because I am interested in something that is not porn. Also, if your show has a lot of these scenes, I can't watch in many places (ie: cafe, plane, with other people, etc..)

> This is why banks are regulated

I am not sure why this get thrown randomly as the solution to every problem. Bitfinex major hack was due to regulation. Banks and Crypto companies don't have the same attack surface and the one for crypto is way more complex due to permissionlessness.

Binance is run by Chinese people. I don't think the Chinese government likes what they are running though. Binance itself is not legal/available in China.

Unless they travel abroad to cooperating countries, nothing is going to happen to them.

wire fraud, credit card fraud, pig butchering (a different way to access the accounts really), etc.. The traditional system do have some safeties but it's not impenetrable.

Most of the billion was frozen though if it was not frozen in time it would have probably evaporated just like these bitcoins getting into mixers.

Funny you say this. I had my issues with Linux during the years but last 2-3 years I have been running it with no issues whatsoever on a Dell XPS 9xxx series. I recently got an M5 Max and it had more issues than the Linux/Dell duo.

The thing is, in order to get legitimate reviews, they have to pay money to AirBnb. The lengths scammers go through these days is astonishing.

To be honest/fair, this is an old issue. They now penalize landlords who do that, which means if your host did, they probably have a very good reason. Not saying there aren't a host of other issues with airbnbs and that for many situations having a hotel is a better deal.

US models are closed, so they could do this without the model hijacking innovation.

I don't think that counts as exports although they could be selling in the US and buying locally where traders move the gold (then it will be counted as exports).

My current pet-peeve with the top providers is that they all refuse a fully-airgapped solution. You have all these widgets and gadgets like it's a toy when you are planning to hold millions in there. Their apps are also a joke and polymarket-like these days.

At this point, the best is a 2-multi-sig solution where one is some hardware wallet and the second is an iPhone app wallet where the seed is stored digitally only. So even if your offline seed is compromised, you are still covered.

Conveniently, there is no KYC in acquiring a data-only eSIM. KYC is only enforced for the number which is not needed here.
