This a huge feature for coding.

I don’t want creative code. I want boring code following generally agreed upon best practices.

If you need more creativity it can come from the user or the harness.

Are any victims calling for prosecution?

It’d be a waste of tax payer money. The companies who were hacked are just directly receiving restitution behind closed doors. Unless they are unhappy there’s no reason to bring the courts into it.

I completely agree that proper safeguards were not in place. But response is happening just not in public. Companies work problems out between their own lawyers all the time because it’s much cheaper, faster and easier to control the PR around.

What LLMs are you using? Just simply telling Sol 6.1, Opus 5.5, Fable or Astra to performance test something will get you a solid improvement in poorly optimized code.

Giving it a specific plan will get you a solid test harness.

And setting up an autoresearch system and running it overnight will get you expert level optimizations if you set the metric up right.

These things excel at performance optimizations.

Yeah… this makes good points about why memory systems don’t work. Then tells you the solution is… a memory system.

Regardless of if a new tool is useful or not, if it’s being pushed internally then embrace it.

If it’s not useful now you have authority on why. And if it’s not is useful then you are better at your job.

More the second.

For programmers this is the equivalent of when accountants got spreadsheets. We can just tell the machine what to do without manually performing all the steps.

Some programmers enjoyed the code writing more than the problem solving though.

Export controls have highly motivated China to figure out how to make state of the art chips entirely in country.

It’ll certainly take years but I would not bet against China’s ability to manufacture something.

You must have different use cases than me.

I find even Deepseek Flash v4 0731 even outperforms Opus for me (at 10x the speed two).

Using Sol, Fable, Kimi 3 and other recent models has been unbelievable for me. I didn’t think we’d get to this level for years.

I’m using them for Ruby, TypeScript and Python. In large existing codebases but also lots of tiny tools.

I don't understand this argument.

Go to OpenRouter and look at all of the unsubsidized providers.

This was my biggest frustration with LLM based coding but Agent Skills have largely solved it.

While there’s a lot of room to improve them it’s a huge game changer for effectively coding harnesses.

This is actually a big advantage of using AI.

Using simple mature tech stacks following best practices makes your product much better.

Developers have a strong desire to reinvent the wheel and it wastes so much time.

Innovative should only be attempted in your product domain if you are trying to make a successful company.
