I’ve definitely noticed this in my diet. I am a gym rat so I eat a lot of protein, but I’ve seen an uptick in other protein focused snacks and foods around. At my office the protein shakes in the fridge disappear pretty quick compared to the soda, perhaps due to folks who want to get more protein easily more than other gym rats

Is there an ATproto or activity pub version of letterboxd? I like A24, but not sure how much I trust Sony or the NYT to run it reasonably

Part of this upgrade was improving the database, with the end goal of supporting other database engines like Postgres and MySQL. Unclear exact timeline of proper support but it’s on the way

Red teaming is good hackers within an organisation intentionally having the org itself to find vulnerabilities. Also a known way to convince a model to do offensive cyber work

Do you think that’s like a fundamental limit or something that will improve with time and new algorithms?

Why wasn’t this run against ARC-AGI-3? Or did it fail to solve anything?

How much water are you drinking the rest of the day? Creatine in theory makes you more thirsty such that you should be drinking more water throughout the day

There’s some alternatives. I like JellyTV, pretty smooth UI. Streamyfin has a beta for the TV as well, and continues to improve. But yeah definitely some of the tougher part of the ecosystem

The article doesn’t mention it, but related is the global share of the US dollar as the reserve currency has been on a steady decline. Between that and the new payment structures discussed in this article we are rapidly approaching an era without American control on global financial systems. Which is a significant lever for soft power and non-military interventions

No? It says “pilots the controller” which is fairly vague of the cause and effects going on. I think a real human would clarify the controller motors being used to physically move the controller.

Getting to a cheap household helper robot requires building the expensive one. I don’t think Boston dynamics believes any reasonable consumer would buy their atlas robot, but by building it and scaling its production in industrial use cases they will learn things that make building a cheaper one much easier. And they will have built some factories to mass produce them. It’s not something that will be in everyone’s home next year, but sooner or later the robot hardware and robot intelligence will both be cheap enough to be accessible by average people (at least in the developed world)
